I think people are misunderstanding the 'reserved-name' Kickstarter option. That just reserved the name before the original release on PC, so that you could start the game with that name. Once the game was released then anybody could use any name they wanted as long as it wasn't in use by another player. The Jameson part just allowed people the same reservation, but on a name with Jameson in it.
Obviously the later Xbox and Playstation releases meant that there could be three people simultaneously using any particular name.
It didn't grant anybody perpetual use of the reserved name or exclusivity across platforms.
