Why was the 'collapse' mechanism in Powerplay not implemented?

It was described as a sure thing back when Powerplay was introduced, but later discovered not to exist mechanically in game. It's absence has never been explained to the best of my knowledge, and the lack of a way to remove 'dead' powers is a big structural flaw with the system IMO. It might make more sense were someone to tell us why this was never implemented.

Has the team considered using the foundations of CQC but allow players to use their own ships?

Currently the pvp community has to search for their own fights or pre-arrange them via 3rd party apps. It's very hard to just hop on the game and have a few duels and setting up a wing fight can be really frustrating.

Ideally, a cmdr could dock at a station go to the CQC contact and arrange to join a competition using one of their own ships. This would be done via telepresence or virtual simulation (to keep it in lore and lower the cost of rebuys). There could be different classes of fights (small ships, medium, large, unlimited class).

This would help the hardcore pvpers find fights and make it easier for others wanting to get involved without risking large rebuys.

Are there any plans to implement a 'Looking For Wing' function, similar to the Multi-crew 'Looking-for-Crew'? This function I feel has been missing since wings was put in back in 1.2 and would greatly help with wing missions and especially thargoid combat.
This is a great idea and I will pass it on to the development team, but right now we have no plans of implementing a 'Looking for Wing' function.

Will AXCZ's or any sort of meaningful Anti-Xeno combat be making a return with odyssey or shall we buckle down for another year of the AX community being ignored?

I would be interested to know if there are any plans to fix any of the long standing bugs with Exploration? There are over a dozen bug between Exploration/Codex/NSPs that have been in the game and unaddressed since it's release two years ago. Some of which are game breaking because they do not reveal things when you scan/enter a system, meaning many important discoveries could have been missed.

Obviously the big push is towards Odyssey, but will there be a raft of bug fixes going in along with that patch?
I'd second this one as well, and would add to it: there are well over a dozen bugs, more like several dozens. Unfortunately, if one wanted to do a completion tour of the Codex, visiting every notable entry in it, that's no longer possible: there are multiple instances where entries in the Codex are no longer there, or have been changed into something else. For example, the Roseum storm cloud in Juenae OX-U e2-8852, which was a DW2 waypoint, had changed into a regular one back in 2019 April. (And now, there are no other known Roseum storm cloud, so that part can't be completed in the Codex either.)

For an incomplete(!) listing of Codex bugs, see here. Sorry, too many to post them all in the issue tracker, and of the ones I've posted back then, several have expired since.

Will we get these fixed in Odyssey, or not at launch?

Considering the PCGamer article last month confirmed physical multicrew with Odyssey so we can ferry our wing around, are there any plans to add an extra multicrew seat so we can carry a full wing in one ship? Or at least allow multicrew ships into a wing?

A question as a BGS player: Is there any chance we could get easier access to the local station news?

What I'd personally love to see is to have the local station news for a faction to be consolidated into a single news accessible somewhere in the squadron menu? (Assuming the squadron is affiliated with a faction).
Alternatively, maybe allow local news to be read onboard fleet carriers for the system they're located in?

The reason I'm asking is because those local news contain more detailed information in some parts compared to the current squadron UI.

I went to a space station to sell minerals. When I got there it was displaying on the right side "station X buys for more" in the same system. I went to that other station and when I was going to sell it was paying way less, especially because it had demand 0.

My question is: why display market values if the demand is 0?

Either demand should be displayed or the prices shouldn't be displayed at all when demand is 0

Q: What is the process for choosing which system a faction will expand FROM when there are multiple systems over 75% ? It changed with the introduction of FC, but there has been no mention in any release Notes

I know the PWA bug is having the limelight right now, but since last April, players have been unable to change the power priority of certain Guardian modules (specifically the Module Reinforcement). I've submitted a couple bug reports and contributed to several more, but is this bug known? Are there any plans to fix it? It's a little disheartening to unlock a partially busted module.

This is a great idea! It's not one I'd heard about/considered previously but definitely one to discuss as and when we come to making large changes to CQC and PvP.

"We have no comments on Elite Dangerous: Odyssey's camera suite at this time. Stay tuned for our future updates and developer diaries for any new information relating to Elite Dangerous: Odyssey. "
but if you have no comments for 80% of the questions what is this post for?

I'm not aware of any plans to increase the size of multicrew, but definitely something for us to consider. It may be that for larger groups, you'll simply need larger ships.

Well in case it's missed in the second page. Would there be any means to achieve Localization like by cooperation with local translation groups by fans? Hope this can be delivered to the Devs to consider.
