I'm going to need a Luljavelin today, I just know it.
But yet, many people are talking about us and taking our side in this matter. Frontier even admitted their own faults, we made them kneel.
A true delicious victory.
Hahahahaha.
I kinda take your side, yes. But your motivation is the problem with me.
'Many' is a weasel word.
Frontier have kneeled? You put it in bold?
Do you know what a 'pyrrhic victory' is?
I think you're in a dorm stoned with your pals and you're having the biggest giraffe at all of us. I get it.just don't ask us to take you seriously when you can't take anything else seriously, ok?

I assume Sundae will be the first victim of Frontier's newly-energized zeal for clamping down on combat logging? Sadly he does have a copyright claim logged against YouTube for that particular video, but I'm sure in light of SDC's reputation for upstanding citizenry he'll retract that and submit it to Frontier for actioning...right? I mean, integrity is what all this barking is about, after all.
Apologies if this has already been stated, I haven't got time to read 60 pages.
It feels to me as though the main issue here is lack of transparency in the outcome of ticket investigation.
Had Frontier said
"We've considered the evidence but it is an insufficient number of instances to warrant action being taken, but we will continue to monitor reports against this player"
then we probably wouldn't be having this conversation. On the other hand if they had said
"We've looked at the evidence and have not found evidence of combat logging"
then your point would stand (they didn't view the video).
Without this transparency there's nothing but speculation on what actually happened. FD should consider this for the future.
Find the section in the TOS that says i can't send emails to a gaming news site about stuff in a video game.
4.3 You may not transmit any material that is unlawful, defamatory or offensive in relation to your use of the Game or the Online Features.
4.4 You may not use the Game or any Online Features in a manner that could damage, disable, impair, overburden or compromise our systems or security or interfere with the experience of other users of the Game or any Online Feature.

I own a house, i served 7 years in the military before going to uni but good assumption!
I'd call it a great victory, we forced their hand and they basically scapegoated the support team because they can't admit they don't enforce policy while lying to us.
I mean look at this picture (2 months of closing tickets and basically giving the same answer and not following their TOS) :

I have no idea, better ask him. I'm sure he doesn't care at this point this game is going to be dead by next year anyway.
it's a sad day for lovers of the game any way you look at it.
this game is going to be dead by next year anyway.
Yeah that's all I'd need to see. Done. Bye.
Hahahahaha.

What makes you think that?
Presumably, if the pew-pews don't get their way and have FD pander to their needs, the game will hold no interest for them, be dead, and they'all all go back to EvE![]()
The entire operation was intended to be defamatory and by your own words intended to bring around disruption of game services through increasing combat logging - then purposefully sent to the press to further defame them and the game more publicly to force your point. Those lines have nothing to do with sending information about a video game to video gaming news site.
In fact, the information that was sent was this very public thread if frontier judged this thread would be detrimental to their business, they would have closed it.
EVE online is free to play, haven't you heard?
Shall I delete this entire thread then since the OP openly admits combat logging
Frankly, FD could have deleted the whole thread, and ignored the OP, since the "investigation" was also arguably abuse of the ticketing system. Fortunately, FD tend to take a context sensitive view of such discussions so there is no black or white "all posts mentioning that someone combat logged will be deleted" rule.
Conversely, unlike combat logging, naming and shaming is specifically called out as against the forum rules. Combat logging is against the game rules, but it is not against the forum rules to mention it.

Please refrain from posting that. It adds nothing to how people perceive you, but may reflect badly on others with a career in the Military.I own a house, i served 7 years in the military before going to uni but good assumption!
My my, so many assumptions.
Firstly, I don't engage in murder. I've pirated people in the game, but they've all left the encounter intact albeit moderately lighter on cargo.
Secondly I don't want FD "shut down", I just want them to be honest with the playerbase.
Thirdly, the fact that you consider any group of people "insignificant" sends a very clear message about the kind of person you are.
Not the kind of person I want any form of interaction with, on or offline.
