Anniversary animal speculation thread

I don’t think it’s at all certain we’ll get an anniversary surprise but, if we do, I think there are plenty of great options - any bird, any monkey, any monitor lizard, lots of ungulates, exhibit species,… maybe not even an animal at all - extra signs for the animals in game would be cool or effect butterflies or fish, for example… the possibilities are endless.

And for those of you saying that we won't get another anniversary animal, I'm sure Covid played a role in us not getting one for the 1st year anniversary.

I think the other direction. The dromedary camel is too popular and would be a perfect headliner of a desert pack. Last year we got an anniversary animal with nearly no votes (3) which could happen again.

A lot of people wanted another lemur in the game, but the Black and White Lemur, while close to a clone, is visually distinct enough from the other 2 lemurs that it seemed almost like a new animal.
I think Frontier would be smart to try to do a similar thing. An Iberian Lynx I think would be a good choice(reasonably popular but unlikely to be in a DLC), or a new crane-type animal like the Whooping Crane or Sandhill Crane.

Possibly but the issue with both of those come from DLC animals. Which isn’t to say they can’t do it. It’s probably just much less likely. If we do get an anniversary animal it’ll most likely be based off a base game animal

Sorry to be a party pooper, but no we are not. There is nothing to suggest we will at all - getting one didn't set a precedent, it was already following a precedent by the one anniversary gift Planet Coaster got. This is one of those scenarios where it's better to expect nothing; if we then get something it's a pleasant surprise, but if we don't there won't be a hundred posts asking why not.
