Any compensation incoming for non-exploiters?

Meanwhile, I am still making 200-300M just using mapped mining. This does, of course, include Egg and Son of Egg for my first 120 to 190 tons. 8 rocks and 1290 Km later I am full, or close to it. I suppose making 500M an hour would be better. Maybe I will until they fix it, if they fix it. Meh, having a hard time worrying about someone else making 500M and hour when you can already make 200-300M an hour legitimately with not much effort.

I used to consider it exploity, but no, it's fine. No reparations to those that choose not to mine, or punishment for those that used the game to their fullest advantage.

For those talking about reparations, did you mine normally during this time or did you do other things? If you were not mining, I see no reason you should get a single thing. If you were, what do you want? The difference between what you did earn mining and what you could have if using the game to your full advantage?

Hello fellow commanders. The instantly replenishing LTD subsurface deposits mining frenzy is just the cherry on top of the general mining rewards fiasco (compared to other activities).
FDev trying hard to patch it, is a clear testament that its is NOT intended gameplay, and taking advantage of non-intended gameplay for personal benefit is the DEFINITION of exploiting.

So, as a loyal player with over 5500 hrs of non-exploitative gameplay and with hundreds of game extras purchased, I think I am entitled to ask a simple question to the developers:
Is there any compensation incoming to the people who chose to forfeit a tremendous in-game advantage and didn't exploit?
Or even, is there any penalty incoming to the ones who did exploit, and for example, earned themselves in a few days the luxury of buying and sustaining an FC for life?

I would really like to see FDev here not following the real life example that rewards exploiting and penalizes good ethos.
Thanks for your time.
Oh enought of these But Heart. 😘
Compensation for what exactly, did you lost something? 🤪

You say you think you're entitled to a answer but I cant help but feel that you also think you're entitled to compensation for not using any "exploits". Which I think is pretty hilarious.

So, by this "logic", anytime one commander feels another commander is using an exploit, the first commander is due compensation?

What this really is, is one player deciding how other players should play the game. It is up to FD, and FD only to decide how the game is played. There plenty of time FD has made decisions that I disagree with, and I speak my mind about that. You don't like what's going on, call FD out, and stop worrying about how other gamers game.

I dont think that those who haven't used an exploit should be compensated because others did.
Though I do think that FDev should say if its an exploit or not.

Its a bit of too little to late though now.
When you have Cmdrs with over a trillion, what does it matter if some exploit for a few billion ?

Basically this ^^^

Pre-June patch i was able to do - when prices were right - 240-280 millions credits per hour using good old random LTD laser mining - no maps cause 1) i'm too lazy for that and 2) i like random
So when patch hit i had more than 50 billions equally spread over 2 accounts.

This is from 2 consecutive days (1 session per day) of Borann random laser mining when Sell Prices were in the range of 1.6 millions per ton

gain2-20200409.JPG

Then patch hit and i heard of the egg and slf reset - notice that i avoid calling it an exploit.
Why? Simply because i suspect this mechanic was in the game since deepcore mining was introduced - but it went unnoticed because Subsurface mining was such a crap endeavor. And Crap is an understatement when used to describe Subsurface mining pre-June-patch.

Calling for punishment for this is like calling for punishment for board-flipping.
Some people got really rich back then, some are getting rich now - using this method or plenty others (good old painite mining is extremely profitable when painite gets to 1 million per ton - and so on)
In both cases it was a game mechanic that was or will get fixed.

TL: DR
Get over it, who wants to get rich will get rich.
Who doesn't want to get rich for whatever reasons will yell EXPLOIT when others get rich - no matter what

Honestly the only reason to give people that didn't relog for diamonds any kind of compensatory reward is to watch the salt from the people that did relog and missed out on something unique and now unobtainable.

Look at what happened with the Cheaters' Lament in TF2. That was absolutely glorious. The purest, cleanest sodium chloride a game developer has ever produced.

No thanks. I don't care what other people do. I just want a good, compelling, and immersive game that is more than time sinks (padding as apposed to compelling game-play and content) and gold rushes. Let's have some more of that, Frontier.

I did go to New Borann last night and mined in the overlap (144t, just enough before I got bored) but system chat and people's obsession with it kind of depressed me so I left again due to the insatiable greed on display, and when you have more billions than you'll ever need, what then.
Frontier have to provide something even more expensive than a Fleet Carier for end game exploiters?
