Anyone with an RX 6000 series card able to get Odyssey to run with the 22.5.2 drivers?

I want to know how to tell Elite NOT to compile the planet tech when I have a new driver or GPU installed. Where does Elite store this data? Can I lock the file/directory?

Test out 22.6.2, and oh, FPS is so much better now. BUT still can't land on planets. So no ground game for me.

GpuWorkTable.xml in exe folder (products/...), something like this file named.
This file tracks driver updates etc. and triggers redo. Maybe you could update in manually by new version.
I made a copy of the file under v22.5.1 and locked it. Installed 22.5.2, and it still made the planet tech look bad. I was wondering where else the game store this information so I can keep it from generating new information.

22.7.1 partially fixed it for me.

With 22.5.2 through 22.6.1 it would take hours to run the terrain timing generation and would crash immediately upon loading a game near a planet surface or entering orbital cruise.

Now, I'm just getting the color weirdness on foot. Shader/terrain prep works normally and I haven't encountered any crashes, yet.
Sounds like your able to land on planters again. What about performance? Are you experiencing any increases or decreases in your FPS?

22.6.1 the performance was nice in VR,

I am not able to play any game modes. Orange sidewinder and server error. I've enabed upnp, set up port forwarding (5100) and allowed all executables in windows firewall. Any suggestions? Strange thing is that i built a new computer about a month ago and havent been able to play since. AMD 5900X and 6900XT. I've had this 6900XT over a year and never had any problems before the update 12 or the completely new setup.

That's interesting. I never had any shader/terrain prep issues, but for me 22.7.1 is behaving basically identically to everything since 22.5.2. Game runs slightly better than before, but crashes with Orange Sidewinder if I descent to a planet.

Sounds promising - I'll give it a go tonight.

It's still essentially unusable for me as there is some shader issue causing all, but a thin horizontal strip, of the view port to be tinted teal in most scenarios on the light side of planets.

I'll probably check and see how it works with DXVK later, but even if is solves the issues I was having with certain planets under DXVK, I'll lose the DX11 performance increase.

Oh, the same as in my own PC....

At least I can play EDO, and every other game I choose, using the recommended AMD drivers. Odd, isn't it?
This is really weird. I have no issues with any other game so far. Im still almost sure that the problem is in my rig and not amd drivers etc. But im not going to roll back for a game :)

Older drivers produces crashes 100% near/on planet surfaces, was just a matter of time especially in settlements.

Now I can drive around on empty planets in the middle of nowhere. I can hear the fans, fps are stable, no stuttering. Currently the new driver works fine for me in OD if there is nothing but planet.

Guardian ruins: I visited ruins in Col 173 Sector FC-L d8-28, no crashes but stuttering at approach, fans go up, landscape a bit blurred, amd cas sharpening, stable 60 in srv, turret use no problem, including scanning an obelisk. Relog worked as well.

Bio/geo: didnt find any, cant tell.

So currently it looks like it works.

Forgot the hardware: 5600x and rx 590
