WE like them.
Here I thought it was to manage hysteria around Frontier abandoning the PS4Of course, there's no possibility that this "engineered mod" has been inserted into the patch notes to manage the hysteria surrounding the "Roadmap Leaked?" threads ?
Tomorrow we find it was "withdrawn."
"Corvettes will now have an answer for Cutters that use their superior speed" Are u serious? This delusion can be only truth in one scenario: Cutters cant use drag. And since that is not a case, cutters will still be much faster when draged, then a vette that is dragged ... So in real world both ships will have some drag weapons, not just a vette, only thing u get is they both fly at minimum engine output and no boost, but cutter still goes fasterGiven that Corvettes have always been barn sized pinatas, nothing in this patch will change for paper-newbies, except that experienced Corvettes will now have an answer for Cutters that use their superior speed and shields to ignore federal ships.
All fun aside, I'm pretty ****ed off regarding the paltry list of bug fixes (especially when that minor DBX change gets top billing)....
The range of engagement is what sets the entire meta, including counter builds. So yes, the range of engagement is everything. If people are using these in C1 utility slots at short range, then one possible counter will be to use other weapons that are even more devastating at short range so that you have even a marginal DPS advantage.
You know, one thing that troubles me is that so many people seem to have lost the capacity for creativity. I blame technology.
Both ships will fly like T10s, as they should. Any advantage that the Cutter has in speed will be negated by the fact both ships will be unable to get out combat range for a long time. This should be expected, since both ships should be relying on toughness and superior fire power. Not the ability to dodge with a ship the size of a football stadium."Corvettes will now have an answer for Cutters that use their superior speed" Are u serious? And also dont u find it curious that u are the only one who defends this?!?!?... And most of us knows who is who in Ed World, just saying
Where the hell is this balancing???"Drag Munitions" engineering modification now disables the victims boost function whilst it is active FINALLY, YALL FINALLY STARTED LEARNING HOW TO BALANCE ENGINEERING MODULES!!!
please re read it again. I said they started to LEARN how to balance. One would expect drag munitions to either slow the ship down, or to prevent it from boosting, one of the two.Where the hell is this balancing???
Everyone will run drag seekers and draghounds now, making PvP even less skill based and full of cancer builds...
This doesn't only affect PvPers but also PvE players getting ganked by the said lulz builds.
Fair point.Seriously, if you want to nerf perma-boosting, nerf perma-boosting
This is 100% accurate I don't even need to check. You are a journalist now. No I'm not kidding.FDev Manager..... "Feedback is telling us we need to nerf Shield Boosters."
Dev ..... "Boosters ... right, I'm onto it."
Checks through list of engineering mods available ......
Dev .... "OK, we've found an engineering mod that will counter those Boosters nicely !"
FDev Manager .... "Great, fix it and post it in the Patch Notes for Monday. The players will be pleased with how we respond to their needs!"
Yeah, and 3.3 supposedly fixed 2000 bugs. Go ahead, name them. If that DBX cosmetic 'fix' is considered a "major update" (worthy enough to be list over the 750 that weren't), then odds are the ones that are not listed are trivial things like random "\n". Now don't get me wrong, I'll be happy if \n is removed, but I see nothing about the broken menu system or terribly horribly horrible awful disgrace Frontier tries to pass off as shadows on PS4. Nor do I see anything about the disappearing stars outside the Bubble, or any number of other reported and "up-voted" (old-school) bugs that have plagued this game since 3.3 dropped, and even before that! What are you talking about? The patch has over 800 bug fixes!!! Can't you count? SHEEESH![]()
More action in this thread than there is in the game![]()
