Patch Notes Update April Update - Patch Notes

Jenner

I wish I was English like my hero Tj.
Market screen is my favorite, too but I can't figure how to activate the SC assist. It does nothing for me besides providing a toggle for throttle behavior at system arrival. I thought it also would regulate inner system SC travel? I'm pretty sure it does/should, but how so?

Select your destination on the left nav panel. There should be an icon there for engaging the super cruise assist. Once you togggle it on it will ask you to align with your destination and throttle up to the 'blue zone'.

Once fitted (from Outfitting>Opotional Modules>Flight Assist - from memory-could be a bit wrong)...it's used form the left-side Nav Panel

In left nav panel you should select the station, then it's the second icon along under the details, icon looks like a computer chip.

Hey nice update. Too bad i can't enjoy it on my main account since it's persisting to say "load failed" on my main account. I don't see my ship on the main menu, only the pre-patch background (with the srv). It's very frustrating since on my second account, the game works, and that on my first, i have everything maxxed out.

Also, i have the feeling that the new issue tracker doesn't care about cases that aren't upvoted ... and it seems i'm quite alone on this one so... what am i supposed to do?

yes , as others are indicating, power priorities are being reset every time I jump into another ship very aggrevating....
* it seems that its worse....just replaced a cargo rack on a vette with an SRV bay....it RESET the priorities...nice
And, NO, I never exited the game or the ship, I did an assassinate mission, docked, took 2 planetary scan missions, sooo, did the swap of modules...heard the sound of several other modules restarting...looked and all priorities were at 1 again...
*

On top of that an old related bug is still here, where numerous ships I jump into are not showing my modules at all so I can't redo the priorities until I have relogged a couple of times..

Just want to say too, that if this new priorities reset bug is in any way related to programmers attempting to make it so a recalled ship keeps its previous settings...very sad. As I have mentioned in at least one thread a very long time back....you land on a planet/moon, you send your ship away..the autopilot changes stuff, live with it.....now instead we get this....fantastic.

- ""Drag Munitions" engineering modification now disables the victims boost function whilst it is active"

Well the first ship I will loose because of this idea will remove me from the game for good, I do love my Imp Clipper and its very high BOOST speed.

- "Players PIP settings are retained once they return back to their ship after switching to an SRV or fighter"

If your ship is still arround… my crew member STILL flies away from me from me until the fighter blows (out of range) when I am controlling it vs thargoids, guess the bug (reported) was lost on this new, genial, fantastic, marvelous bug report theory (hoping for the bugs turn themselves up).

Martin Schou wrote - "Any reason you aren't just removing PowerPlay from the game already? PowerPlay isn't in the Codex as it is, and you are not adding it to the Codex….etc"

All taken into account it is enought to make you wonder if that is a future plan (ending PP).

But the best are the much needed update to the starting screen that not olny had too many options for the new target players of ED but worst of all "START GAME" was NOT on capital letters and ppl was not even able to start the game...

Oh yes great patch indeed !!! Cant wait for the next !
Drag munitions, what a drag will ruin open, what's the point of a small fast ship now.

I got a pretty nice impression from the update. The ADC works nicely but in my opinion undocking is a bit insecure, I'd prefer undocking myself. The Supercruise Assist is a must-have for me. Some people are saying that it ruins gameplay/makes it to easy/gaming is automated/it plays by itself - well actually, it is a slight improvement from putting the throttle into the blue zone. The orbit function is handy aswell. Thanks (y)

Ok, the buy/sell UI speed is terrible, but that's easily fixed, but the new market information is really nice.
I've not personally tried this, but I was watching a stream last night and if you use the A and D keys instead of mouse to increase and increase the values, it works much quicker than using the mouse. Yes, it needs fixing, but it's a workaround for now at least.

Anyone have a copy of this document somewhere? It was a great guide to engineers, best choices, and specifically gave me some guidance as to what to shoot for and why, instead of me just wasting materials.

The author has gutted it because he's upset at how drag munitions work after this update, preventing you from boosting away.

If you have a copy of the guide, please post a link. I wish I had made a copy. Now I'm at Elvira Martuuk w/modules from all my ships and I don't have the info anymore ><

He actually did this before the update in anticipation of how the change to drag was allegedly going to work.

Some nice updates but why change the 'jumps remaining' font which is smaller and if you happen to suffer colourblindness, very difficult to read if not impossible.
I take it the Ammonia World I discovered on Monday won't appear in my Codex retrospectively? (it hasn't so far)

Yeah, I missed the part about drag munitions while reading the patch notes.
Its the only fly in the ointment. A very large fly.
I'll come back to the game when they introduce nukes, all this idiot engineering Drag munitions etc is stupid it's making open and PVP ridiculous, give me a Nuke suicide weapon for my Vulture and I'll turn and blow the idiot up who uses his big ship Drag cheat.

For me personally the biggest win here is the changes made to the cAPI and Journal. As a console CMDR I can now use Inara.cz to help with engineering my ships. This will save me a LOT of dead time, so thanks for that FDev.

Performance are terrible in any conditions. Fps are dropped after the update. VR almost unplayable. (drivers updated with rtx 2080 and i7 4.9 Ghz)

Yep, I’ve spent all morning trying to squeeze out some stable performance. I’ve only just come back as I was a PS4 player but recently moved to pc/oculus. I had a wicked time over the weekend getting back in to things but now it’s unplayable. Tried to soldier on but got fined for loitering and last try I got blown up because it was taking a few seconds in between frames (yep it’s that bad!). Hope they fix it soon!
