ARX store inflation

Looking at my records the price hasn't changed since I last purchased Arx in 2020.

What are you basing the increase on exactly?

I wonder if this is to make the prebuilts look better by comparison. By making everything else worse. Easier than improving things I guess...

Price rises aside, the actual quality of what you get for the ARX isn't amazing.
With half of the paint jobs in the salvage pack, the extra bolt-on bits in the ship kit aren't coloured/textured and are instead just dull grey. It's the same story with the explorer pack and some of its paintjobs/geometry.

Not only that, but whoever decided to stick a big giant cool-looking satellite dish on the anaconda explorer pack has made no effort whatsoever to stop the doors that cover the "heat radiating coils" from cheerfully just clipping right through the new geometry.

The paint job stuff has been commented on before with previous ship kits and paint jobs, and the ships that now clip into themselves is even more irritating. Doesn't anyone do QA before charging money for the damn things?

With all the bugs that the store has had in the past it would not surprise me in the least that this wasn't meant to happen till the 7th.
Actually, that might be a tactic: announce that it was a mistake, and those prices were going to be live later.

Prices reversed to the previous level for a few days, with ensuing massive cash injections and Arx expenditures before the hike.

It might not be a constant stream, but it's a one off spike, that might be more useful at this time.

The only reason I was mulling over buying the Python MkII was I’ve a tonne of accrued ARX (and those left over from when I bought some a very long time ago.)

The only reason those ARX were unspent all this time is because so many of the paintjobs are so badly designed that they obscure and/or discolour (and so make pointless) the decals and nameplates they shift for more ARX. Fix that and I’d have spent my ARX, no doubt bought more and maybe made me overlook the big jump in price when the P2 does arrive and I want it to look pretty.

As it stands this, sadly, makes little difference to me; however, for the price hike you’d like to think they’d realise a quality hike is required too.

W.t., so they increased the price while giving us ,Diddley squat in return, go fdev ,what a joke this company has become
They are giving you server time.
A sensible business would have sunset Legacy once 4.x had become the current branch of the game - but they probably had agreements with the console manufacturers to uphold for a fixed period, so PC legacy continued too...

As well as content for console, they haven't given us anything to justify the increase, other then disappointment

You're looking with the mindset of "how could this be improved". Try "what can we get away with", that seems to be the number one priority of whoever is calling these shots.
That‘s probably true. I’m a freelancer (irl, not just Cmdr role) so look at things very differently from some ‘big business‘ practices. I wouldn’t dream of allowing my reputation to hang on some of the quality levels found in the Store. Friday afternoon stuff.🤷‍♂️
