So has anyone figured out what kind of weapon combinations does the MKII support? Fixed, gimballed, multicannons, lasers etc..
It's the same weapon arrangement as the Python (2 dorsal offset larges, 2 dorsal slightly less offset mediums, 1 centered ventral large) with the addition of a centered dorsal large hardpoint. Look here (

All of the dorsal hardpoints (3 large, 2 medium) converge reasonably well for fixed, although the new center top large and the mediums probably have the tightest grouping if you're trying to hit a module at 1000m or so. The ventral hardpoint is off doing its own thing (just like the Chieftain and the Corvette) so for convergence reasons it's probably not a bad idea to make it a gimbal.
If the ship moves better than a Krait then you should be able to keep fixed hitscan weapons on target reasonably well. I'm not worried about fixed projectiles.
However, a class 6 distributor is not going to handle more than 2 high WEP draw large hardpoints all that well, based on the performance of the Chieftain with the same class 6 PD. (Edit: Not to mention the class 6 plant) There will be a choice between deliberately downsizing (putting cytoscramblers in the mediums, etc) and/or choosing weapons that are inherently lower WEP draw (frags/pacifiers, multicannons, cannons) for at least half of the hardpoints to take the edge off of the PD draw. Or you could just go all efficient PAs, but what's the fun in that?
