Be honest everyone. Who will most likely purchase the Python MkII..?

Sorry, its out of stock and the shelf stackers had a "great" bank holiday Monday and called in sick till 2pm.

Seems they are hard at work stocking the Mk2 - hopefully they will have enough of them

I'd consider it, if I knew that you could change the modules and load out of the ship, or even engineer it. But from what I've heard of the AX Chieftain? You can't remove the guardian mounts, So I'm not sure if this logic applies to all modules or what? If not, I'm waiting till August.

You can. It's like any other ship.

The Pre-Built version comes with combat grade modules and an array of multicannons and pulse lasers that all have no rebuy cost. They can be engineered and even swapped out, but they can't be stored. You can only sell those no-rebuy modules if you try and swap them out. They can't be used on any other ship.

The bare bones version is just an early unlock of shipyard access, but it also apparently gives you one hull with E grade modules, just like you've bought it from a normal shipyard.

You absolutely can, but you'll have to pay insurance on swapped modules.
Oh nice! Because, yeah...I couldn't even be too sure the ship will go on sale, in Colonia, in August...we still don't even have SCO there. So it's more realistically going to be December or the following year by time we see either thing there lol. Not sure why they don't just do in-game releases and not regional.

You miss heard. The prebuilt modules can be sold at 0 credits but can’t be stored so you can’t move them to another ship or keep them to refit in the prebuilt later.

Speaking of purchasing the Python Mk. II, has anyone found the ship in a shipyard that isn’t Shin Dez? I’ve checked a few places in LYR space including Diaguandri, but no luck so far.

The ship is not available in game unless you purchase it from the Store

It will be released in game's Shipyards in August 7 - until then it is available only as an early access, store bought, ship

That’s not correct. Both versions in the store include a “shipyard unlock”.

EDDN data has it show up at Tsiolkovskiy Horizon in Pyrrha too, so it's not just the universal outfitters that stock it.

Data might be a bit sparse on 3rd-party sites since it presumably both requires the shipyard to sell it and the visitor to have specifically unlocked it, though.

Brilliant idea, especially if combined with open only powerplay, should that come. The salt will flow freely, as opposing powers do fly in open and you still can't do a bloody thing because they've got the flag set off. Ganking needs a solution IMO, but that is not it.
But does ganking need a solution so badly? I haven’t had even an attempted gank on me in over 1000 hours of flying in open in the most populated systems. Most ships can avoid ganks quite easily and to be to me the gankers add much needed risk.

Well I have 17000 ARX on hand, accumulated from just playing, so was going to login for the first time in months and buy one.

Apparently Frontier doesn't want me to do that - just get a connection error anytime I go to the store (in game or outside). So I guess I will come back in another few months and try again maybe... or maybe not.

Perhaps everyone else would have stopped trying to use the store in a little while, though having said that I could access it 30 minutes ago from within the game.

In another few months you won't need to got to the store :D
