Patch Notes Update Beta 2.2 - Update 5

I have yet to see a fix for Wings and the infamous "Cannot connect to Matchmaking Server" error )which boots people to the main menu) in ANY of the beta patch notes.

Are you truly that focused on new content that you cannot be bothered to fix what is already present and non-functional? Do you honestly expect anyone who wants to play in a Wing to recommend this game to their friends currently? This has been a problem for MONTHS. I'm proud to say I've personally stopped six friends of mine from purchasing this game because of this issue.

I'd be extremely grateful :).

Have you tried turning off Cache Check? I found that helped with that type of error.

Tried to just delete it? I did something like that yesterday.
 
I realize that this post is about a half hour late to the party since it is a response sixteen pages after the OP massive change log introduced with the 2.2.5 patch, but I just want to say, Wow! I wasn't expecting an even bigger patch than the last one, great job Frontier!

Not that I fly the T-7 as that trading is not really my "cup of tea" - little tip my hat to England on that comment - but that ship really needed some love and affection.

we are still far from having a perfect game, it seems that the only purpose of this game is to make money, money, money and time, since I have taken up the game recently, you easily get to have billions of credits, the game I like but even with these new patch 2.2 it seems that still lacks something to say, "ok I'm not easily bore you!", this is a personal opinion.

sorry for my bad english........but we find it hard to learn Italian! ;-)
 
I am new to game and heard about Ceos being a better place to earn money. Nothing shady about it, just decent missions. That said, even making a few million a night, it soon became very repetitious (19 hops, fuel scoop, oops, Red dwarf, more jumps...and NOW I hear they have nerfed CEOS/Sothis missions. Why? What makes developers think it is fun to grind forever to get 100 billion credits for the top ship (Anaconda I think)?! The game is repetitious and boring after less than 1 month. I was willing to do the same things over and over as long as it felt like I was accomplishing something. I am seriously considering moving on, I am so glad I put off buying the expansion pack. Another week and I was gonna buy it but after this last nerf, I will not be spending more real money. Maybe I am doing something wrong but don't you guys get bored doing the same thing over and over again? Only now it seems they have removed the good paying long distance transport missions, they want me to do it for 30% of the previous jobs. Too bad they chose to add more grind, less reward.
 
Totally agree with the above, it's why I have taken a break from the game. It's to repetitive. Once you realise it's all about just getting more and more money to get bigger and better ships, there is nothing further to do! I keep looking in hoping there is going to be some new killer feature to draw me back, but up until now, nothing! I bought in at premium beta so I guess i can dip in and out for as long as I want, so hopefully there will be something good in the future.

but, to answer you.....the players, who are playing since release does not had all these kind of missions. these kind of missions where implemented later in to game. i will say that me and a lot of other players does not had the pleasure to grind billions with missions like these. our way was mining and extreme trading. and it isnt so hard to reach the first million or the fist 55 million for the python. i personaly reached the billion after a year and i play all contend FD give us. Bouty hunting, lot of missions via mission board and this is good for ranking and your status in the systems and the sys-fractions. it is nice to see green npc's on radar!!. lil bit mining (without drones-wasnt implemented), a lot of conflict zone action. also i've done some exploration trips!!! but the most credits i've earned with trading!
be patient and play smart.

Cleaned up some of the messaging being used when jumping to a system. We now only show the abort message when the destination is potentially dangerous (currently, when in anarchy)

Errm. Won't this mean that we'll get the message EVERY time while exploring? They're all anarchy systems out there.
 
Hey guys, is there a plan with 2.2 to store cargo at stations? not just module storage?

No.
Last news on that front was something along the lines "We're thinking about it. Probably in a far future, once we'd figured out how to make it work and exploit-proof"
 
Not blind - In what should have been a simple code change, I managed to        this up. :eek:

In Beta-5, only systems with a state (famine, war, boom etc) will show the star class too. In Beta-6, all will be working as intended.

Dont think this is working in beta 6.
