Patch Notes Update Beta 2.2 - Update 5

I haven't read all 14 pages, but are the ships and equipment supposed to be the regular prices of the live production server? If so, it's fine. Just kind of surprised me when I went to purchase an Asp to do some testing it said 6 million credits and change. Needless to say, I didn't buy it. Only had about 3 million and a Keelback (which was purchased in update 4). And with all these passenger missions not paying, it makes it kind of hard.

Nice question, well framed and not at all designed to be irritating. Should get a promt and complete answer from a dev in no time at all.

I'm glad you liked it.

Panticus has a long history of being rude and obnoxious.

I'd like to see any post of mine that has been rude or obnoxious.

Nevertheless, a little digital feather in your cap there, I guess, in sticking up for this failing game.

BTW that is not rude or obnoxious - it is an opinion.

I'd heard there were difficulties in extending the mission alternate time limit, due to various copyrights held by musical acts like Europe, Manfred Mann and So Solid Crew :/

:)

I just want it fixed - this makes me a troll apparently.

I'm an original kickstarter backer you know...I've got one of those little ships with a different seat and everything.

Oh, no reason it can't be all three.

IIRC (correct me if I'm wrong) it was 0h0m so there was (is?) still room for hidden 59 seconds. In some situations still nuts as it was completely impossible. That' from 2.1, not sure if that nonsense is still in.

I believe, though, that it's based on the game's internal clock, and so it depends when the NEXT minute ticks over. Which means it could be anywhere from 1 second to 59 seconds, depending on the moment it arrives.

I agree that the actual time limit in this STUPID and long-lasting UNFIXED bug may be up to one minute.

But it still makes the task impossible.

Sorry about the CAPS :)

Have you seen the huge freighters needed to transfer ships to other systems? No, neither have I, but I can't wait for FD to implement them at some point. :)

I'm sorry, but - what's your point here? That my credits are somehow going to the real-life wages of the Frontier employees who are putting this feature into the game...?

The majority was moaning about immersion and again immersion - and now we get the delay which for me totally sucks!

I was one of those who argued, mightily, for having the delay, for many good reasons I've gone over at length so many times that I hope you'll excuse me if I skip over now.

But I do not at all think these high, prohibitive prices are "immersive" in the slightest, and I don't like them being high whatsoever. I want it to be cheap, affordable, and easy to use. (With a believable amount of time for it to take place, of course)

Or put it around - how much should a player pay you to do this job as a ship transfer service?

If this were a thing, I would never dream of charging so high for such petty distances. Assuming the prices weren't totally fixed and determined by insurance cost or somesuch, I feel that the price & demand would settle at a sensible, affordable amount that'd be worthwhile for a CMDR with time to spare and a desire to meet other players & see new ships, but hardly worth calling a career, especially for players who have been playing a long while.

Wow amazing changelog.
I was wondering what to do this weekend after the CG at Obsidian Orbital ended today. Pity the station doesn't greet you with his voice.
I would read the changelog but I find everyones discussion on it far more entertaining.

Have a good one.

JUST ONE QUESTION - 0m0s?

When I get round to playing this silly game again, will I still face this stupid glitch that has been there for months?

Thanks

I am curious if Frontier has been silently rolling out fixes already because I used to get this annoying glitch all the time, but over the last two weeks it hasn't occurred once. The bonus timer has actually functioned in a reasonable matter. The other mission glitch that I was getting where the comms notice about an interdiction attempt and the actual interdiction both arrivied simultaneously (thereby making the warning useless) has also disappeared since the beta started.

LOL, Panticus just loves proving my point.....but lacks the self awareness to realise it. If he hates the game so much, why does he hang around the forums so much? I thought he'd be playing NMS 24/7. ;)

But "silly game"? C'mon, if you want to reduce this awesome game to some minor glitches then it's not the game that is silly though... ;)

I used to get this bug all the time but not had it for 2 minths or more. I thought it was fixed alreadt tbh but i guess i was lucky

You mentioned, in the post I was refering to, that it cost Cr9m to transfer an Anaconda a short distance to your current system. I inferred that ship transfer was expensive because of the freighters used to transfer ships to other systems. I appreciate your confusion here. As I understand it, ship transfers use large freighters, so I added that it would be nice to see these large freighters in the game. Not sure why you'd think I was referring to in-game credits going to real-life wages, that would be ridiculous. Have fun! :)

I had it last Sunday, only when I dropped into where the station was.

Docking in under a minute in a fully laden Anaconda is no easy feat... I failed at least :(

I've been grinding fed rep at Lebedev, stacking delivery missions. I get at least two 0m0s inbox messages (plus their accompanying "you've failed to deliver in zero time" messages) per run.

Hurray finally it downloaded i had to use the alternative download option in the options menu.
I had to run that 3 times. I'm not bothered.

At the end of one of the beta's there was a huge meet up for a big space battle. I can't remember who organized it.
would be fun to do that again.
