Transition, animation, or physically walking out?Exiting the ship after landing takes less than 1 second.

DLSS mod is up on Nexus:

I read the DLSS mod barely improves performance so I use FSR2 with my Geforce 3060 Ti.

Regions are pretty small.
My other half has the early access. Watched her play the intro...
I can't roll my eyes hard enough and having second thoughts about getting it myself when it's actually released.player is a miner finds presumably alien object embedded in rock touches it and has visions. Congratulations you just became Shepherd.

CPU spread looking really good. I think DigitalTrends article mentioned that it's optimized for 8 CPU cores.First video test I recorded with the correct OBS settings:

4k, FSR2, 67% render scale, 50% sharpen, all high presets, no motion blur.
So far the game seems completely GPU limited at any reasonable frame rate target with a tuned 5800X (non-X3D in this system) and an undervolted 6800 XT (~2.4GHz core, 2100+fast timings on the memory, ~220w peak in game), even in combat.
Looking at anti-lag again, it does seem to be reducing latency more than I initially thought as it seems to keep the third frame queue from ever being used.
I've decided to bump everything up to ultra, except for DoF and motion blur, which I've disabled. I've also reduced the render scale to 65%, the sharpen to 33%, and the film grain to 25-50%, though I might turn that off.
I wouldn't expect it to improve performance much vs. the same render scale target in FSR2, especially since a sharpen filter needs to be run on top of it. It may or may not look better however. 'm on my AMD system so can't do a comparison with DLSS, but the default TAA is pretty bad (excessively blurry).
The FSR2 implementation also seems to be pretty good, all things considered, and one will want to use FSR2 or DLSS, even if one isn't going to be upscaling, just for the superior AA solution.
manual travel between planets is not possible currently, is that correct?
Everyone enjoying the game so far?
So I guess that it's probably not possible. I don't mind though, that's not what I bought the game for. From what I've seen, really looking forward to a solid day dedicated to it tomorrow.Well I haven't tried it yet without a "fast travel" cut-scene.
Running an old laptop with a 1070 (just checked, I thought it was a 1080). So I will be just on the edge of the low end graphics. Hopefully with a few adjustments I'll be able to play it.Yeah, it's awesome for RPG and space game fans. If you can play with ultra graphics then the environments, ships are mostly gorgeous imo.

You didn't realise you just became tHe cHoSeN oNe?I'm at the early stages of the main questline. I'm sure it'll be different than Mass Effect. After the first planet and visiting The Lodge in New Atlantis you're set to do anything and go in any direction. The main questline is optional.

Glad I said, didn't know about any of those not being a main-stream gamer. Many thanks!1070 maybe low or medium graphics (see here). You can check Nexus Mods for mods that increase performance.
OK, so inter-planetary travel doesn't look possible (yet, mods permitting).Yes, I've played for around three hours. Wasn't sure what to expect, even though I'd watched a few "dev diaries"-type videos but am really enjoying it so far.
The cons: It's a shame about the actual spaceflight limitations and that you can't use a joystick. The inventory system is really cumbersome and needs redesigning, as does the star map.
Other than that, it's beautiful to look at, there seems to be lots to do, it seems to run fine on my PC (i7-10700K / 8GB RTX 2070 Super / 16GB RAM) and I'm looking forward to getting properly stuck in over the weekend!
