I was just wondering how how well you can collect with only one collector limpet

If you want to mine in Icy Rings try laser mining for Bromellite, Its fast to collect and plenty of places buy for a good price, Its also a regular request on mission boards and because of this there are several carriers within the bubble also willing to buy at a price premium.

So people put out buy orders for stuff on their own carriers, competing with the PVE market? Neat. Economy.

You can get a lot more for certain Mined only commodities by completing missions that require these commodities, some carrier owners buy these commodities at a premium above normal price, Bromellite top price is 116,000 some carriers will buy at 200,000 and then complete mining missions which will give them a reasonable profit above that.

If you want to mine Bromellite, mine it then when you get to a station with a high demand check the mission board and you may be able to accept and complete a mission at a very good profit with the Bromellite you have in your hold - no risk mission

You only need a single Abrasion Blaster, they don't run out of ammo, a SSDM would be a better choice, most of the rocks that glow will contain SD's and/or SSD's they won't be Cores.

It takes a while to get your eye in and recognise Cores without having to use a Prospector limpet and even then you cannot tell what type of Core it is until you use a prospector, A lot of cores in a hotspot will not be what you expect.

I have just done a run through a VO hotspot, a couple of hours, 2 Alex, 2 LTD's and several Bromellite, not one VO Core, I also collected about 300t of Bromellite mainly Lasered and an assortment of odds and ends for a total of 514t in a Mining Cutter.

One thing when mining always collect any raw mats when laser mining, they will come in useful at a later date, 10 iron and 10 nickel equals 4 limpets if you run short while out

Get rid of the MGA and the chaff. You can't fight anyone in that ship. All they're doing is slowing you down and reducing your jump range. If anything, get point defence as a countermeasure for hatch-breaker limpets, though you'd have to be a right duffer to need it..
