Yeah, man I hear you and I assume that a lot of people feel that way. I stopped playing a while back (spending too much time flying and it was impacting family, so nothing to do with lack of enjoyment), and from my current perspective it's just not worth coming back. I tend to take an extremely negative stance against Fdev for their historic passivity when it comes to cheating.
Keep telling yourself you earned your easy mode noob-stomp w+m1 powercreep items. The powerjuice is just as toxic gameplay as is cheetocondas.

I do see your point, and there is some irony when people complain about not recognising if someone cheats because they might have just improved their shields by 2-5% while they are roflstomping newbies in their ultra engineered PvP builds themselves. But we need to draw a line somewhere, while everyone is allowed to use tools that the game offers to his advantage, cheaters using out of game tools should never be tolerated.
I do agree that certain parts of the game are way to unbalanced, and the engineers certainly didn't make it better in that regard. That's an entirely different discussion though.

This is stupid, uninformed and dramatically places the focus on the wrong area. Yes, the engineering grind is trash, but equivocating people who've put in the time and outfitted their ships to top levels with hackers is almost unconscionably malicious.
