PS4 player here, the charging port on my long-lived stock DS controller is very temperamental and the sticks have a habit of ‘sticking’ when R3/L3 is pressed, so my wonderful partner got me a couple of new controllers for Christmas. Bless her little cotton socks, she went out of her way to get them because Covid furlough wages have practically reduced us to freegans (slight exaggeration)... but they’re clearly, erm, more
affordable third party devices, not to sound ungrateful at all.
Anyway the analogue sticks are quite clearly nowhere near as sensitive as the official DS ones, and at first I
longed for sensitivity settings. But the problem for my mediocre flight skills aren’t insurmountable, it’s just felt a little like learning to fly all over again. Some of those top-end controllers look the dog’s proverbials by comparison, but with the console delay of Odyssey and since Elite is pretty much 95% of my game time over the last year it would be an awful lot of money to spend on a controller; I’d rather future-proof my Elite experience by investing in a decent PC and joining the master race
