This thread is for console players who are willing to migrate to pc.
For all console players, in this thread post your platform and answer with:" yes I want to migrate".
For Frontier development:
The following players want to migrate to pc to keep playing the game. Our concerns are how this would go. We hope you can come up with a solution for all of us.

our wishes are:
  • if legal possible our console save transferred to a pc account.
  • if a legal transfer of our saved data isn't possible, we are open to a debate on what can be possible.
It is very important that this thread is not going to be cluttered by comments of people who are angry or just need a channel to rant and rave. If you feel the need to rant and rave, there are other threads for it that are moderated. This thread is to collect info of those who want to go over to pc. No offense intended.
I have been following the latest thread and tbh, nothing can be achieved if we all keep shouting and kicking against Frontiers door.
I hope this thread can show Frontier that still a lot of console players are willing to make the big step to pc.

Apart from the fact that as a member of the community it is my concern that Consoleros™ continue to be part of this community, I also have a selfish interest in hopefully many people switching to the PC so that ED continues to generate revenue. Because even if I personally don't get anything out of it, of course, hopefully that ensures the continued future of this great game! Plus, of course, an MMO is a lot more fun with a lot of players!

I am sure FDEV will do this if it is possible. It must be in their own economical interest, unless they are bonkers.

As I said in the thread that broke the news, I personally wouldn't mind having to shell out money to purchase the game on PC (though I'd likely wait for a Steam sale now), as long as I could 100% transfer my character from the PS4 to PC. That would include the paint jobs and body kits I've bought (I am willing to give up Arx if need be). However transferring the character with the current method is not good enough for me. I simply do not have the time nor the desire to redo all the ranks, engineers, system permits, material gathering, and so forth. If the grind for all that was reduced by 80% I might reconsider it.

Having said that, the more PC users who go into the other thread to rub the cancellation in our noses the less likely I'll consider transferring accounts.

I don't need to myself, but I fully support a (perhaps one time only) migration between platforms. For instance, in GTA Online I was able to import my characters from PS3 to PS4 and then eventually from PS4 to PC with a few in-game clicks. Of course this required me to link my platforms to a single Rockstar account, but the same should be possible with a Frontier account.

It should be possible since everything is tied to a Frontier account (my xb account is tied to a frontier account, same my steam and epic accounts are tied to their own frontier accounts)

I also remember about a couple of instances where XB players managed to access their XB account from a PC installation.
Sure, FD Support was quick to blame it on some bug and put it down, but that only proved that its possible

PC Commander here. I have never even touched a Playstation or Xbox, so I don't even know if this is possible, but, just out of curiosity, has anyone from console bought the PC version and tried signing in with their console login?

I would be interested in migrating at some point when I can actually afford the hardware required. I am not expecting a solution tomorrow. Already waited a year for an update so a few months more isn't going to hurt. But it should be made an option after supporting your game.
