You should really wait with commenting in the morning until you've have enough coffee.
Why? I'd say the same thing coffee or not.
I knew people would chime in with "The game works fine for me so why change things?" comment. But they're not thinking of the betterment of the product and the playing experience of everyone who purchased it, they're just looking after their own interests. Even though they know the game is broken.
Far too many people pull the "I don't care because I'm fine!" card these days. Like the people who refuse to wear masks during a pandemic "I'm not ill, so why should I wear a mask?" or the people who say that changes to something, like benefits for the sick and disabled, don't affect them because they're perfectly healthy. But then complain that people who are sick and disabled are getting something for nothing anyway.
The problem is, most of these people who do have this "I'm fine so why change it!" attitude are exactly the same kind of people who make the most noise if something is changed that does affect them. And they forget that the change could eventually end up giving them a much better experience in game. It's just that the change might mean going back to an older version for a few months and people these people want everything NOW! RIGHT NOW! I WANT! like little children throwing a tantrum because their mother just told them it was time to put their nice new toy away and go to bed. one of the reasons Odyssey was released as it is (plus No Man's Sky and Cyberpunk 2077 for that matter) is due to gamers putting pressure on that makes the companies worry that if they don't release something now, strike while the iron is still hot, the gamers will find something else to play. So, they end up releasing a broken product and the same gamers who were crying that the game wasn't out sooner become the ones who are now crying on the forums and social media, issuing death threats and harrassing developers over Twitter, because the game isn't exactly what they wanted.
Perhaps you should be looking at the people who are motivated from ego and self serving attitudes rather than having a go at people who call them out for it. They're the ones that cause most of the problems we all face. It's not just limited to video games or a few words on a forum, but also to other walks of life as well. People take, but often don't want to give. they want everything and they want it now and sod everyone else's needs.
Maybe these forums and the internet in general would be a nicer place to inhabit if everyone wasn't out to score personal gains at the expense of others... Just a thought.
