Very much like the logs from one of the Generation Ships, Thetis. They were hearing whispering and it sent everyone mad and they started killing each other. Maybe it's linked to that.

This might be irrelevant, but I was thinking they might have added the extra space at the end for a reason other than to confuse us. Maybe it was put there because they needed it for the overlayered message.

There are 50 highlighted numbers. The first 48 can be converted from 16 bit to 32261, 805, 46700. The grid reference 467, 8, 322 puts you near Coalsack Sector DW-M B7-4. There is nothing at the reference and there are the two extra digits, the theory is not working for me tbh.

If you like the 00 could indicate the scaling to perform in base 10, ie divide by 100. Tenuous.

i don't think it's a grid reference. i just went to this system, and there's nothing but binary stars here

edit: went to the wrong system, like a newbie. maybe it has been too long since i have last played. will explore planets
edit2: nothing noteworthy at Coalsack Sector DW-M B7-4, no signals on the landfall planets, nor any of note in space

Anyone else think the message isn't complete?

They purposefully ended it with a binary 'space' character. Perhaps the message also starts with a binary 'space' character......

Theorising that the update will activate whatever the message refers to, it makes sense that FD don't wan't people finding the location until the update is complete. Hence there is more message to come....?

I doubt the event is anything requiring guardian weapons, especially if it’s connected to Horizons suddenly being accessible to everyone. There would be a lot people out there that are nowhere near unlocking them yet.

Well, now at WREGOE JI-B d13-130 planet 1. Noted POI "site 426" - it showed up on my HUD but would not show up on my nav panel until I dropped out of SC.

UPDATE: I don't believe this is associated with our coalsack thing. Heading back there.

A while back in this thread someone mentioned that FD announced next gen graphics update ED. Is there a link for that? I haven’t found anything..
