Like Angelis, I didn't manage to realize where this has been confirmed.
Please, show us where this was shown and then I'll probably think about seriously pre-ordering the game (UGC is a crucial factor for me).
It's crucial for many people.
It's certainly THE thing that will keep me busy for a while.

Anyway, I think he just misunderstood something.

I heard in other forums that they mentioned it, but they don't know if add it or no; the reason behind this is simple; since you have the possibility of sharing parks, it'd be impossible for a player with UGC in their park to be shared with another player that hasn't it - Note that this could apply with DLCs too however -.
A simple, yet effective solution is to add a "Mod/Custom Scenario/Custom Flat Rides/Custom Coasters/Custom Other Rides repository" within the game. You could filter the parks with UGC and those without it. Should you pick a park with UGC, a tab will show you the missing content, and will let you download it.

P.S.: Did you see the Vekoma chain lift mechanism on the video?

Not if we have a connected "Content platform" where we can download the missing content before to load a park. (manually or automatically, using a defined space on the hard disk)

And it's not for nothing that I bothers everyone, since weeks, with the "content manager" they "theoretically speaking" can make, it's the key of everything [rolleyes]

Well, nice try but i was not talking about GRAPHICS. I do not come along with their decision about the ART STYLE. Even if the game needs some improvements in terms of graphics its still alpha and they will fix the majority of graphic errors. But the art style wont change in the future and all i can say is that in MY eyes it looks way too childish and like something out of 2008! Thats an opinion, not a fact.

I would prefer something like this:
https://www.visitkingsisland.com/images/uploads/file/img_the-ride_center_lg.jpg

And thank god Frontier nor the majority of people think the same.

I understand you having an opinion, but that doesn't mean the majority cant think your opinion is really bad.
That screen you posted is bland, with stick figure guests with zero charm and badly modeled realistic proportions, zero treatment of different texture materials and bad lighting.

I completely agree with him!

I 110% agree.

The art direction is just amazing on PlanetCoaster until now.

I agree. I wanted to post the same words that you said!

- Outdoor fast food : yes
- Seating restaurants : unknown
- Souvenirs shop : unknown
- Hotels : unknown

Thanks for the response! Appreciate knowing where they are, just waiting on a bit more information before I decide to pre-order. Everything looks and sounds great so far, though.

You're not bothering me with those content library/manager ideas. I find it a fantastic solution! [big grin]

I agree, also what Mangmod is saying: there has to be a solution to work this out; to be able to download/visit other parks with or without UGC, make a filter or something like that if UGC is present in a park, and if it is, ask the player if he/she wants to download the park with or without UGC. The UGC could be stored on a repository/a server at Frontier, to make it accessible all the time.

Technically, this could work very well. I do think the server would need to be a big one that can handle a lot of data traffic, because we don't want problems with downtime. Maybe a dedicated server for UGC? And a dedicated server for normal operations of Planet Coaster?

Players would need some tools to manage the UGC that they create, to upload it to the server, and here is where the content library comes in again. That tool would work well to upload the UGC to the server, with options to categorize it as certain themes, add keywords, and to make sure the UGC conforms to the specifications necessary to let it work in the game.

A point of concern may be the storage of all that UGC. If the creator of UGC decides to delete it from the (online) content library, new downloads of parks with that UGC won't be able to download the UGC as it is no longer available. That could be solved by incorporating the UGC into the actual saved data of (downloadable) parks.

I don't have the knowledge to go a lot deeper into this matter, but I am confident the technological possibilities to make UGC work with Planet Coaster, including a content manager/library of some sort, and what I have mentioned above, is possible with the technology available today. It makes sense. I can see it working in a logical kind of way.

I'm looking forward to it, and hope Frontier can (and if they do, will) make a huge number of fans very super amazingly happy! [big grin]

Oh and again I would like to say that Frontier rocks! A huge thanks to the team the is working on this awesome game.
I am in 'awe'! [wink] < the truth [happy]

Planet Coaster is BEAUTIFUL, AMAZING and a true MASTERPIECE of ART!
That's my personal opinion.

I love the art style of Planet Coaster!
As a fan of Pixar, I am drooling away with all of the details that are being put into the game. It is too much for me to handle everything. I have not enough words to describe this beauty! [praise]

I'm currently waiting for a timelapse video of a the rollercoaster tool creation!
And I want to know more about the themes we'll be able to use.

But some things bother me:
- the park entrance, I hope we can change it,
- the mascots, they don't match, and they're odd,
- I didn't see any stairs,
- I'm hoping we'll have a water tool as well.
That's for my concerns, but the game looks awesome though, and I really cannot wait to have my hands on it!

They didn't showed us anything! So the hope is very big that we could have all of these things! [up]

The game is still in pre-alpha, so a lot can and will change over time.

I find Gulpee, the dinosaur mascot really adorable. The other mascots look nice to. They have some kind of genuineness over them. They fit the art style of the game. They also look odd, but that may just well make them funny. [happy]

You must be right!
But I still dream about a way to build things using the SimCity system: you build a restaurant and you can choose the style, add more rooms, a terrace, etc.
And I hope we'll have different styles for the rides (like the pictures with the brain thing which had different styles).

Yeah I agree, but I think I won't use some of them anyway :/

Mhhhh[bored]

Well i know that people will disagree with me in some points but to be completely honest i dont like the new Dev Diary. After the second one i thought they started to combine the cartoony style with a very realistic sort of art direction. But now with peeps and all parts come together it looks pretty much like thrillville. Dont get me wrong i think some "cartoon-elements" are necessary to create a very charming and beautiful atmosphere, but what we got right now is way to much. It looks so outdated and more like a remake of RCT3. I guess a new name with a new style would has been better to create a new foundation which is independent from RCT and Thrillville.

And the coasters do look so awkward and unrealistic...[where is it]
I dont get why there is literally no company besides the guys from tools like No Limits who is able to create an editor that allows you to build realistic coasters???
What in the world is this?

Please refuse to just bash against my opinion, i like the systems and ideas but just not the look and the "final" results.

Every opinion is welcome [noob]
