Considering the size of the expedition, there's no difference* between Fleetcomm PG and Open since you can't instance with everybody at once.

*In the number of people you can meet.

I've seen about twice as many people in open every day since DW2 started.

I didn't claim it as mine.

You are off to a dishonest start.

You mad?

I didn't design the game.
I think you're the one being childish.

I thought you understood that by saying "your" I meant the culture you mentioned in your post. Your reply seems a bit spring loaded.

It's ok for me. If someone choose to fly in open, you have to calculate with griefers and gankers. That is what's the game make so exciting in open.

I'm currently in open some lys above omega, but I'll change to fleetcomm when I'll approach Omega at the weekend.

They got me in open in Pallaeni, I'm even in their list. My own fault :)

LOL, brilliant!

Gimping your defenses (jump range) to the point where you can't escape from PvP.

Isn't that exactly what you guys tell traders they are doing wrong?

This is comedy gold!

Bugs aside, don't be so extreme in your outfitting to the point you can't escape! Maybe then you'd spend less on rebuys :p

It's as if you're actively trying not to think about what you're reading and writing. My defense in PvP is shields, hull, and evasion. I don't highwake from PvP encounters when I'm in a PvP fitted ship (by choice); I either kill the opposition or low wake.

The difference is that I do this by choice and don't cry on the forums about not being able to escape. But if I'm mining, engineering, exploring, or doing events like Operation Tinman, I'll tank my ship as much as possible and highwake from most encounters.

Hi there Rinzler of the many o7's (no offense meant...)

I have yourself and Harry on my friends list (I will admit that it is purely for selfish reasons ! Where is Harry / Rinzler… ok I will pop into open/ or Nope not doing that...)

How important is Boost in your equations ?
Would you go for Higher shields/Armour even in a not so boosty explorer? (ie max is 360...)

Not that I am thinking of trying my luck with you lot.... (maybe ?...)

Any input received with gratitude !

ps - I know you have some youtube stuff... but I have young ears in the house...

Some posters cannot fathom that to many pilots a rebuy is no big deal.

It is true that rebuys are a big deal to some pilots due to explo data or pride or shock or whatever. However, considering how much good advice some of us - you in particular - have given on exactly how to avoid rebuys, I feel it's been balanced.

More importantly, I don't know if anyone has thanked you for your service in Operation Tinman, an event with galaxy wide ramifications. Z0 brave CMDR.

There are a handful of you who seem to be determined to narrow down the motivations of DG (or PvPers in general) participants to one specific cause or reason, to the point where you can't seem to get past it and insist on holding onto it like a dog with a bone. That's funny. I would think that by now you would have tumbled to the fact that no two people are completely alike and that we all have a number of reasons we do things, as well as aspects of gameplay that we enjoy for varying reasons at differing times.

Although I didn't venture out on the expedition I did manage to score 36 kills on launch day. So I am happy

None of these kills count or are relevant because they were done in Open mode by willing CMDRs. Watch the system chat on a Friday night and you'll see what I mean. For many it has just become a sport to switch into a Sidey and get killed. Some friends I know did it at least 10 times over and over, I bet that counts in your stats too. Bottom line is you've hardly killed anybody in real terms.
