Coati is very likely, but since the environment of this pack is more western and Arizona themed, could it be the White Nosed Coati instead? Honestly I kinda like the look of this guy more than the other one.
I prefer them as well!
Why would you when the game literally has a chorus/howling mechanic. I'd say chances are rather high that they're reusing everything from the base wolf in terms of behaviors, which would include howling.
I would prefer South American one because it is much more common in my region, but honestly, I will gladly accept any of them.
Arid only had 2 repeat genera and its roster was actually quite distinct from with the porcupine and lanky gazelle being heavy hitters in diversity. Even the addax is leagues more interesting than yet another dog IMO
I really hope the final animals are coati and ocelot... I don't think I have to say anything about the coati, and the ocelot would be very useful for a little project I'm working on (although I'm experiencing a bit of a creative... "Block").

Same. I mean really frontier how hard can this be???
Although, to be honest, I would not be totally against the American Black Bear. North America has great in-game representation, and I'd love to get a good looking bear to round up the roster.

Almost certainly. That's the Tuesday before Easter after all.
I can't overstate my excitement for the coyote. It's been over two years since the last time I got a local species added to the game. I love coyotes and the model looks fantastic. It's useful to me in ways the gray wolf could never compare to.

As soon as this drops nothing will stop me from making a small janky North American roadside zoo with a generally arid/grasslands theme.
Plus the coyote reminds me of my dog, looks like a good boy.
I don't think it was a necessary animal for the game, but I love desertic areas. So the coyote is definitely a banger addition.
Bighorn sheep... It's cool on paper, but having the Dall sheep it feels a bit redundant. I would have preferred a White-Tailed Deer, which is one of my favourite ungulates

Honestly same on everything. Except for having use for the coyote although it looks nice. I guess it was time for a canid since bears and cat dominated the latests packs but yeah there were better options.
If other two animals are mara and coati that hits basically 3 and half out of my top 5 most wanted animals right now.
My local zoo actually got Coyotes as the only zoo in my country in 2023. I cannot wait for them.
