I wanna see where we could go with this, if you could make 1-5 DLC's for this game. What would the pack and roster, what could it bring to the game and how can it bring animals that the entire community wants.
Probably not realistic, but I can dream:
Scrub Animal Pack: secretary bird, Hamadryas baboon, serval, spurred tortoise, blackbuck, rhea, mara, Australian 4x4 lizard
- High Wishlist Animals: secretary bird, Hamadryas baboon, blackbuck (kind of)
- High General Appeal: serval, secretary bird
- Addresses: birds (2), primates (1), South America (2), Asian ungulates (1), reptiles (2), Patagonia, Middle East, and maybe India turn green
Mountains Pack: spectacled bear, golden snub-nosed monkey, Goodfellow's tree kangaroo, wapiti/bighorn sheep/mountain goat, markhor, Pallas's cat, guereza, and horizontal wood set and a few Himalayan props instead of an exhibit animal.
- High Wishlist Animals: spectacled bear, tree kangaroo, markhor
- High General Appeal: bear, tree kangaroo, cat, GSNM for China, iconic ungulate for US (given the # of players, these 2 throw a bone to a bunch of players)
- Addresses: primates (2), South America (1), Asian ungulates (1), Himalayas and New Guinea turn green
Avian Expansion: This would be more expensive and adds a ton of birds, but they would only use a handfull of models. I can think of 5 good ones from each habitat bird group, but it could be ~3.
- Cranes: grey-crowned, demoiselle, paradise, sarus, and the sandhill or whooping crane
- Ibises: scarlet, sacred, Madagascar, glossy, crested
- Ducks: Mandarin, mallard, white-faced whistling, NA wood, Muscovy
- Pheasants: Golden Pheasant, Silver Pheasant, Lady Amherst's Pheasant, Reeves's Pheasant, Common Pheasant
- Flying Birds:
- Large Parrots: macaws, cockatoos, and a African grey parrrot would work well in a WE.
- Small Parrots: lorikeets, budgies, conures, lovebirds, and parakeets would be similar and could use a WE.
- Toucans/Hornbills: Toucans and hornbills would also be good for a WE.
- Raptors: There could be a new exhibit type for "injured" raptors. They would walk between branches and maybe flap their wings sometimes, but I don't think they'd fly. The bald eagle, snowy owl, and Eurasian eagle owl seem to be the main obvious ones, but there are other species from those groups as well as vultures/condors that would be nice to have.
- Oddballs: The kookaburra seems too popular and iconic to leave out. There are some other good options.
- This attempts to address the biggest general wish accross all communities.
Tropical Neotropical Animal Pack: Geoffroy's spider monkey, South American coati, ocelot, red-rumped agouti, southern tamandua, Arrau turtle, Golden lion tamarin, and at least 2 additional Tamarins/Marmosets instead of an exhibit animal. Also, there should be plants.
- High Wishlist: Spider Monkey, GLT, Coati
- High General: GLT, Ocelot, Coati, maybe spider monkey if it brachiates and has color morphs
- Addresses: Primates (4+), South America (7), Reptiles (1) Tropical Houses are now possible, and much of the region can turn green
Finale would contain 3 animals for each continent, a habitat bird, a mammal, and a reptile. There are also 2 for the arctic, and they bring the total to 20.
- Africa: Ground Hornbill/Guineafowl/Shoebill/Stork (Pick one), Honey Badger, Chameleon
- Europe: Great White Pelican, European Rabbit/Other Critter, Legless Lizard
- Asia: Bar-Headed Goose, Muntjac, Cobra
- North America: Wild Turkey, Black Bear, Snapping Turtle
- South America: Roseate Spoonbill, Howler Monkey, Emerald Tree Boa
- Australia: Black Swan, Echidna, Perentie
- North Pole: Musk Ox, Walrus
- Adds some finishing touches to each continent and the bird roster. All regions are at least green at this point.
Missing Animals/Potential Aniversary Slots: Nile Crocodile, De Brazza's Guenon, Pere David's Deer, Raccoon Dog, Indian Monkey
