[DW2] Community Goals

Bit concerned that this will be complete before I get chance to participate! Slow down, Commanders!

The CGs kick off in the wee small hours of Friday morning in Australia, and for those of us that have to work business hours, there might not be a lot of time to contribute - substantially increased goals, please!

Why? We will stay at every waypoint for at least a week. This WP is special because of the CG, usually the fleet would still be enroute to this WP. There is no rush. Also a new Tier 9 has already magically appeared :D

Planet 2 has a metal rich and a rocky ring. Planet 3 has a rocky and an icy ring. Both planets have pristine reserves. Already found plenty of praseodymium, indite and gallite in the metal rich ring.

To be fare though part of the point of the CG is to get people engaged with the new mining systems. Adding the new "pew pew bang bangs" but leaving out the Pulse Wave Scanner sort of makes the other new modules that are now available a moot point.

I'm not very interested in "the old way of mining". I was interested in trying out the new systems while I'm out here for the sake of the DW2 CG. If it's at all possible I would greatly appreciate FDEV add the PWS to the outpost.

When I logged out about 90 minutes ago, it was close to hitting Tier 5. Even with the new Tier 9, it might only make it into tomorrow night. We'll see!

Requirements for CG are easier to mine old-skool. Though feel free to wait for fdev to add the pws - more CG rewards for us :)

I presume each completed tier unlocks new features for the station-to-be. If the present rate holds true, it'll be a pretty much fully equipped station near Sagittarius A*.

Yep, I went to bed just as it started; wasn't expecting it to be almost complete by the time I woke up! Now all day at work before I can give it a shot.. hopefully the Tier9 addition means I'll at least get a few tonnes in tonight.

Good to see another Aussie in the same boat as me. I got to work, opened up my DW2 forum tab and heard everyone was tearing though the CG while I was doing real life work. How dare they! :)

Seriously though good to see there's still a reason for me to setup my ASP as a kind of miner when I get over there. (A few hops short of Thor's eye ATM)

I'm not an Aussie, but I'm in a close enough time zone to be in the same bind.
I was planning on mining old school as my exploration PP isn't strong enough to power a pulse wave analyzer, but judging from the comments, that problem's moot :cool:.

I go to bed just in time to see the Discord ping announcing that the CG's open and I check in at work 14 hrs later to find out the CG'll probably be completed before I get back tonight (in another 9 or 10 hours)!

FDev, try to make the CG last at least until the weekend by doubling its requirements![yesnod]

Anorther 5 hours at least before I can fly.. they better be looking at adding a tier 10! Shame they're all be asleep in Blighty now :(

I think we would have set a record for CG completion speed without the extra tier. We’ll be at T8 in minutes. I still expect this will be done in under 24 hours.

This isnt the first time CG is done extremely fast. I remember few CGs which were done just in few hours.. :D

I think its really nice that so many CMDR's are out there mining, for me this CG isnt about getting cash, its about having a bit of fun with others in the DW2 exp. and getting it done.

Yesterday i tagged along with a wing of two in the PS4 PG for DW2, and it was a good feeling that we worked togheter in visual range of eachother when the weeks to come we will be spread apart for most time.

I just got to deliver a few tons before it was bedtime, and now all day im off to work. If the goal is met before i come home, im happy beacuse thats one step further to getting that station close to Sag*A and thats what really matters. This CG completion is a gift from DW2 participants to the entire bubble.. its not about single commanders.

On the plus side, with so many miners involved, I got into the top 50% last night with just 63 tons :)

That was last night. I'm probaly right off the bottom of the scale by now.

Don't be too sure about that. I was in the top 50% all night with just 120 tons. Now with another 128, im in the top 25.
