Ok dk2 is awesome.
I do have one issue though. I get some weird highlights around asteroids that come and go. Like purplish stuff. Is this the chromatic aberration that was mentioned earlier?
I have OVR-whatever process turned off in order to get things working, is this the calibration you referred to?
Is that not the "black smear" shadow problem everyone is talking about ?
Wish mine would hurry up, next on the list, knew the cut off would be me.![]()
oh and if you put your stick roughly where your avatar has his, the trackong on it is perfect. so much so when i dropped something off my desk for a couple of seconds i was looking on my cockpit floor for it!!!.
This is THE best gaming WOW moment I have ever experienced.
I'm starting to think it's maybe not just hyperbole.![]()
It's amazing how often I've heard that the last couple of days. I'm starting to think it's maybe not just hyperbole.Makes me kick myself for not ordering mine in March (and hence have to wait until September / October for it) but you live and learn.
Glad you got it working.![]()

Even with my gtx670s at the lowest settings, I'm having trouble keeping vsync (presumably because rendering for the rift means rendering twice).
Not really, I have a GTX660 too and I only get ~40 FPS in Rift Mode, so it is much too slow. You need a Highend Card to play ED with Rift.
Any plans to support the 0.4 SDK for the DK2? The game is simply mind blowing with the new Oculus development kit 2 but lacks direct support which creates judder and stuttering. Any idea when this support may be deployed?
I think it would be extremely wise for Frontier to implement this as soon as possible, since this will be the only game to fully support the 0.4 SDK. Money can't buy this type of free publicity in the Oculus community. Please support it asap.
