Just tried mine today. Awesome/puke/awesome. Pretty much sums it up. Sort of like getting drunk until you puke. It's a whole lot of fun until it's not.

I was afraid this would happen to me. Looks like I'll need short bite sized sessions until my old stomach gets used to it. I hope. Even at above 75FPS I get queezy.

It is the future. It is being inside the game. It does need 4k. Great experience.

I found going around a few roller coasters a few times sorted the VR sickness out with the DK1, it felt pretty rough at first. After a week or so, pretty much had the VR legs sorted out. Not sure if that will work for everyone though, I think everyone is different.

My mistake was doing the living room coaster 5 times in a row. That would make me hurl in real life. Almost did. Still awesome though.

I'm loving the DK2+Hotas setup. (x52 pro). Hopefully ED devs will compile the OVR support with devkit 4.2 on the next release and make it easier. BTW the free Oculus VR Game Launcher by bilago makes running ED far easier. Highly recommend it.

The new SDK and firmware has vastly improved the chromatic abberation correction. The image is much clearer and sharper now, especially at the periphery. Text is much more legible. Motion judder is still present unfortunately. I did not have an issue getting 75 fps (at lowest graphics settings, same as before).

Anyone have the issue with leaning forward makes things move away and leaning back draws them forward? Does it across the board, no matter what I'm viewing.

Any fixes?

Been playing with DK2 for a week or so. Tuned all my graphic settings just right so its as legible as I can make it, while still maintaining decent fps.
I've been playing in my Sidewinder all this time, and only today finally upgraded to an Eagle.

Now I'm having fps issues. It seems Eagle drops my fps quite a bit, so its noticeable in Oculus. I don't have fraps, and have no idea how to view fps counter in the game, so I'm judging this by eye. The drop IS noticeable.

I don't know how it is for other ships, other than Sidewinder and Eagle. If I don't figure this out, I might have to stick it out with Sidewinder until I upgrade my computer.

Well my DK2 is out for delivery today! Whoop!

So chaps, I understand it's not all that straightforward to get Elite working on it properly.. Can anyone recommend a tool or anything that makes disabling of services etc a bit easier?

I could get an email today, but I kinda doubt it. From what I've seen, the EU batch is locked and loaded. I've seen very few EU order updates here or on other forums. If it doesn't ship next week, I'm going to explode!

Before you order speak to Oc's customer support you can change that 780Ti for one of the really overclocked ones for a bit more money

Just my 2 pence, I don't think it's ever worth paying real money for pre-overclocked cards. Nothing you can't achieve yourself if you dedicate a few hours to working at it.

colour me green!! That is a very very tasty system. Hopefully the 780Ti should cut it for CV1 as well after some tweaks to the drivers.

back to ED... and the rift....

I believe 1 of the reasons FD had not released an update for rift support was due to issues with the 4.1 software.

Now 4.2 is out, I wonder if the roadblock will now be cleared? It would be fab to get a cheeky 1.05 beta release for the weekend ;)

I don't know the others, or maybe my PC wake up well yesterday, but after updating everything i was having a small juttering but when I checked the FPS my surprise to find it running at 75fps in the base and 70/80fps in the ring of a planet, before I was around 50fps:S:S
