App for controlling in-game side menus (PC, android, iOS)
Hi.
I was wondering if it will be possible to have feature that would allow us, via some external application, to display data from side panels on secondary monitors?
For example, I currently have one main monitor (27'' DELL), and one side monitor (19'' Samsung), but I also have one spare 19'' monitor that I can connect as third monitor on right side of main monitor. And it would be nice to have side menus/panels always displayed on those side monitors like on this mock-up image:
And to expand on that idea, to have mobile app that will allow us to have this side panels on tablets and/or mobile phones, that can be controlled via touch screen and will send data back to game via USB or WiFi. There are many applications that can be controlled via mobile; for example I have remote controller on my phone for controlling XBMC program that runs on my PC for watching films, so I believe that this feature won't be that big of issue to implement in to game (game would need to have options to setup wifi control by with ip address, port and other stuff)
And this would greatly increase immersion and won't be that expensive option even if you don't have tablet you can use, because pair of cheap low end tablets will work with no problem.
Here is how it wuld look like:
