I was able to get back in open mode by going into solo mode, jumping a few systems, then going back into open.

same here cost me a fortune in fines eg not being able give cargo in or abandoning once ive moved on

These seem random. It's happened while I've just been sitting in a station, jumping to another system, or just after logging in and starting. But the message is the same and it specifies the "match making server" and not just a "server" disconnect. This is in SOLO mode.

I've also been getting these in Open mode, this will happen When going in and out of Supercruise or jumping into Hyperspace. This is also ontop of the long loading times that have no come as a result (3min of shakey cockpit for me), All this is new for me since patch 2.02.

Same story for me. I was fine until 2.02 but now I keep getting the 'match making server' error when entering or leaving supercruise. Got up early to play as well. Very frustrating! Due to the problems last night I have fines to pay which I wanted to clear before I had to go to work. Looks like that won't be possible now!
getting the same problem, also mission server fails. only started after the last update.

Failed to communicate with server: Failed to perform mission transaction
While attempting to complete one of the discreet cleaner missions I am presented with this. I followed the instructions which was to collect a black box. When I returned I found I was unable to hand in the cargo.
Bug or have I done something wrong? I've been away for a couple of days and these missions are new to me.

Really? Everything else seems to work fine.

Today I was just about to complete mission bringing some commodity back for a nice wedge of credits.
Probably took around 14 Frame Jumps there and back to find the stuff. Got back to the space station and even though I had 7.5hrs remaining, the entry for my mission was missing from the Bulletin Board so I could not give them the cargo.
So I Saved and Exited only to find when I tried to go back in that the server was offline.
"Aah", I thought, "That's probably why the entry wasn't there on the BB".
A few mins later, the server came back and I went to the BB and it still wasn't there. So, grasping at straws, I left the space station, turned around and re-docked.
Still missing. So I lost my reward
Any more like that and these server disconnects will make me bankrupt.

After I start the game from the launcher I see the Main Menu Screen with the Coriolis Station and get the message "the game failed to communicate with the authentication server". Can't get into the game since yesterday. I have tried it different times with some minutes and hours between. My firewall (Bitdefender) is off. I got no answer on my ticked until now.
