The servers were down for 7 mins. It's a test environment. What bunch of wihners
Apparently 7 minutes in a Beta is unacceptable and a sure-sign the game will fail!
Well, that is why WE are here now... TESTING.. and hammering the servers... so things would work when game is released.
I just don't understand a thread like this...
Do you really think with even the most minuscule amount of forethought that the folks over at Frontier are going to look at the server logs, see it was down and then say, "Nope, servers going down is a great thing...lets ignore this until someone points out that we are stupid"

Could it be server side update? (although presumably their would of been a warning)
It is what, like peak gaming time in the UK right now, isn't it? Could be related to that or it could be that they are making tweaks to server config...who knows
These are not the game servers, these are the beta servers. There will be more servers, and more powerful servers for the Final Release. Clearly the beta servers are being overwhelmed by the many new beta players that have come online in recent weeks, and by the additional content provided in beta-3. Frontier is not going to spend resources on upgrading servers that will be gone after Nov. 22nd.
Stuck in space (not lost) !
Hi guys, don't know if anyone can shed any light on this, had game 2 days (yes I know its a Beta and there will be bugs). My Viper is stuck in space, all my Hud works, but i get a pointer in space but dosent rotate ship, when i push either mouse button guns activate, but when fired are silent. Game was working until about 5 hours ago then when i tried to undock i died due to no control, eventually it spawned me outside station, which is where I remain. just wondered if anyone had come across this. p.s. checked all keys and restarted client numerous times. cheers

Server side updates almost never have a warning, only if update takes much longer to apply.

It's shot in the dark, but you haven't overloaded your ship's power station?
For me the beta 3.05 change log reads like FD has it well in focus.

Yeah, that'd be nice...but maybe getting disconnected abruptly was part of a test. Who knows? Frontier would, but they are a bit busy I think to worry about ppl not playing for 5 minutes. There is no SLA and assets/credits (probably) are temporary now.
Theres been a few odd routing issues about today in the UK also so it could be that.
