Quick query here peoples. If you leave your client running does this game keep updating automatically if releases are made aka like Steam does with games.?? Because its a HUGE pain down under here in OZ to re-start the cleint and getting ready to play the game ect....and finding that there is several HOURS of download for an upgrade, before you can hit the space. I'd really just like to leave the client running 24/7 and keep everything updating even when I'm asleep or AFK. cheers/

You sure can! Route planner works up to 100Ly and the stars beyond your current fuel level will be linked with a dashed line instead.

Additionally, after it plots the initial jumps in about 50Ly you might need to wait a minute or two until it gets to the further systems... by that time it's making a crapton jump calculations so it slows down a bit... :p

I haven't been able to plot a route beyond 60ly m'self... had to replot my path to Sorbago halfway through and it was 77ly away to begin with.

Why isn't this in the Patch-notes section? That would be the logical place for this information and also the forum I checks fist whenever the I see the large orange Upgrade-button.

The mantra of FD. Seriously though, how much coffee and tea do you guys get through?

I just did a 101Ly route myself. It took the galaxy map about 3 or 4 mins to extend the "spider web" to that range, though...

Hi everyone,

Day 2 of Elite: Dangerous being out there in the real world, and we already have a little update for you all. See the full change log below:

...

Hope everyone's enjoying the game - thank you so much for playing! The development team are still hard at work, and appreciate every tiny bit of feedback seen on the forums. Thanks again.

Enjoying it very much. can you ask around if there is a key combination to turn the version on/off and/or where the version of the game can now be observed?
Thanks!

Thanks for the update.

With a 12 o'clock launch yesterday and a 12 o'clock patch today, do I need to start having my lunch break a bit later from now on? :)

Still getting dropped out of Hyperspace on 10 out of 10 jumps. Still stuck 250 LY "south" of Sol. Problem persists since Gamma 2.05

I reopened my ticket for 1.0.0.0, still no reply. This is getting tedious, guys.

  • Diagnostics to help track down systems with possibly inconsistent minor faction data

Well, at least you are looking onto it finally. I guess this has to do with the background simulation apparently not working (no moves on influence/status)

Thank you ... but wouldn't that belong to the 'News and Update' section of the forum? Just wondering...
