Oops I was on my way to Hutton Orbital (a very, very, very long SC). Had a few minutes to go...
Wonder where I spawn later on..
 
Just want to say well done, that's three patches in three days, and a patch or more a day before that. I don't know if anyone has seen a dev post improvements and fixes at the rate FD have, but I know I never have. And a dozen or so posts in the forums each day too.

Whatever anyone may say, noone can doubt the work ethic and commitment. Utterly amazing.

nice and what about the bounty?
yesterday i played killed destroyed got the msg hat the bounty was recieved in the info menu
but nothing zip nada didnt get a penny:mad:
 
Wow, they finally added the option to turn orbit lines off ... well, good for those that were very vocal about that option for months.

Nice update though as always, good to see dedication to enhancing and fixing the game.
 
Hi everyone,

Servers should be down in a few moments to update to Elite: Dangerous 1.03 - there are a few headline features on there (see the top three bullet points).

• Added option to hide the orbit lines in shown in Supercruise
• Added control bindings icons for some of the most popular control devices
• Reduce likelihood of NPC ships claiming bounties after a player has weakened an opponent
• Avoid disconnection if the client is unable to connect to the TURN server but is setup to successfully connect to peers through normal means
• Fix for refresh of mission data provoking rare disconnections from a heavily loaded server
• Fix for ranking missions sometimes being available from factions that won't award a rank promotion
• Fix for "unknown error" shown when selecting an already refined material from the refinery hopper
• Fix for a rare crash when loading inconsistent saved game data
• Correction for missing name for Python radiator module
• Corrections for some mission descriptions
• Corrections for some galaxy data in a small number of systems
• Enhanced diagnostics for PVP bounties sometime not being awarded
• Enhanced diagnostics for rare errors preventing game data from loading

Just the one server-side update today:

- Fix a bug that was preventing Commanders from exploration scanning stellar bodies that they had previously scanned but not sold and then died.

Bug with landing again... My friend and I have confirmed the same issue. The orange light appears, then completely vanishes again. If you move past it, and then rotate, then it appears again.
 
Maelstrom????????? how many threads, tickets and comments does it take for someone to comment on this issue?

Please ---- how can we progress with the Federation? Is it bugged? When is it likely to be fixed?
 
How incredible it is to come back here each day and see regular updates to the game, especially so close to the holidays.

I have to say though, it's quite disappointing that whenever an update is released the amount of posts that follow "what about this, what about that, you didn't fix this". You can bet your freagle that FD have a HUGE list of things to work through and are prioritising that work accordingly.

I think it's quite clear in the patch notes what has been updated / added. Let's be grateful for what we've been given eh?

A lot of the responses in here remind me of greedy children who just want "more more more candy" and don't know how to show gratitude and have patience.

On that note, thanks FD for removing the orbit lines... personally they never bothered me but now I don't have to read about a bunch of other people complaining about them.

I was going to do some cartwheels right there (I still may after I get another beer ;)), but was rather hoping that the diagnostics implemented recently might have turned up a solution to the FPS drops near planets in Supercruise. Perhaps it's too early and I'm jumping the gun, er, pulse laser...

Oh dear...I expect a angry rant post as soon as the servers are back! :eek:

(You will most likely spawn where you entered the system after the hyperspace jump...)

FD rarely comment on that sort of stuff, if you hadn't noticed. They just do what they need to do. Obviously it's been reported, therefore it is or will be worked on.

Not sure what that means

Does it mean we can say bind request docking to a button now or if we have a HOTAS by say, Thrustmaster it shown a picture of it when selected as a control method?

I hope its the first one!

Sadly it just now shows a small graphic of the joystick button/axis instead of saying JOY 6 etc.

Still no solution to issue with full cargo hold, am unable to sell any of the cargo. Logged in and out several times with no effect before and after 1.03. I cannot sell the ship or the cargo holds due to cargo being full. The ship cargo contents (24 mineral extractors) intermittently shows up commodity markets (open and solo log ins) and the side menu shows cargo space: 24 out of 24 used. This does not show on the cargo tab (right hand computer) within the ship which indicates 0/24 capacity.



All in all, am pretty much stuck in terms of game play now, cannot trade, sell or store ship.
