Discussion Elite Dangerous Exploration Buddy

Ich hab das auch, es werden alle tf Planeten aufgelistet, jeweils am Start des Programms. Je mehr ich finde desto länger dauert die Durchsage.
Ich werde heute Abend mal aufs Knöpfchen drücken für die Logs.

@ Cmdr Panostrede,

I wanted to let you know that I am the Commander that emailed you the EDDB logs and the below picture at 1:31 AM UTC on October 5, 2023. If possible it would be nice to be able to get my "Vista Genomics Value" back.

@ Cmdr Panostrede,

I upgraded to v1.40 this morning and there appears to be an issue with bodies and sulfur dioxide atmospheres. See below screenshots.

After you scan a sulfur dioxide body EDEB no longer lists possible bio's that could be found (Image 1), this happens on both rocky bodies and HMC bodies. Once you map the body EDEB no longer provides a list of the possible sub species to be found. EDEB only list the species (Image 2). The correct view from a body with ammonia atmosphere after you scan is Image 3. I have also scanned bodies with carbon dioxide and argon atmosphere's and these are also displaying correctly.

Yesterday I had a problem with biosignals as well, there was only ONE incident, so no pattern, no idea what it could be. My planet was a hmc with 100% thin ammonia atm.

btw if you are using the new body of interest function there is a bug with the max radius value. It must be entered in meters, not kilometers (*1000).

Can you rewrite the route import to also include the spansh expressway to exomastery CSV file, its different than the one listed.
I'll put it on the feature list. If you like, join the EDEB discord server and vote for your feature request :)

Hi, sorry if I an necro'ing this.

I installed Exploration Buddy and it connected and worked fine.
A few week ago it suddenly stopped updating the information properly. I stopped playing for a bit and now I'm starting up again I noticed that the 'Current Activity' is 'Waiting for Game'? This is even though the EDSM data gets updated when I scan stuff.
Can anyone help me figure out what has happened? I tried a new install but it's the same problem no matter what I do.

Hi, can you attach a log file so that I can scan for erros? Thanks in advance

Update, after I uninstalled Exploration Buddy and deleted the logs I landed on a planet, collected some Bio and took off again and Exploration Buddy seems to be werking again.

Edit: Nvm it still doesn't work. Went back to not connecting to the game.

Edit 2: Ok it seems to actually be intermittent. SOMETIMES it connects but then immediately stops and so Exploration Buddy doesn't update.

What I can tell so far is that there are errors in the log in context of planets of interest. That could explain the random errors. What criteria sets for POIs do you have defined/enabled?

Ammonia world, Earth-like world, Gas giant with ammonia-based life, Gas giant with water-based life, High metal content world, Metal-rich body, Water giant and Water world.

I think I found it, it seems to be an issue when EDSM returns "null" for these atmospheres set in POI. I sent you a modified version for testing

Weißt du eigentlich, dass Erden keine definierte Atmosphäre haben?

"PlanetClass":"Earthlike body", "Atmosphere":"", "AtmosphereType":"EarthLike", "AtmosphereComposition":[ { "Name":"Nitrogen", "Percent":73.882782 }, { "Name":"Oxygen", "Percent":24.709602 }, { "Name":"Water", "Percent":1.157163 } ]

Als Vergleich eine WW

"PlanetClass":"Water world", "Atmosphere":"nitrogen atmosphere", "AtmosphereType":"Nitrogen", "AtmosphereComposition":[ { "Name":"Nitrogen", "Percent":85.855782 }, { "Name":"Oxygen", "Percent":11.772116 }, { "Name":"CarbonDioxide", "Percent":1.615999 }

I tested your modified version.

I can confirm it's no longer just broken: it seems to update fine. Haven't tested it with biologicals since I am now in the Bubble.

However I'm pretty sure it's fixed.
