Patch Notes Update Elite Dangerous: Horizons patch 2.0.04

Thanks for confirming and explaining. Nice of FD to do that but nevermind, it only broke the RP side of my game *rolleyes*

(Too many posts to quote them all.)

There's a new player minor faction that has been implemented in Phekda. The Phekda Society (from which you were supposed to get the permit) lost the control of the system to that new faction. Afaik the outcome was that you had no chance at all to get the permit at this time. That's why Frontier had to remove the permit.

Exited to desktop, back in now with missions in place :) Edit: Only in Solo, not any other modes... Will have to move to another station and see if that fixes it!

Moved from Sothis to Ceos in group (Mobius), no change on BB. No missions at all, completely empty.

Edit: Tried re-logging in Open and Solo, no luck, no missions at all.

Player factions...still screwing up the galaxy.

It's live but the bulletin board is broken - shows no missions. Maybe it's a fix because the mission payouts were an offence anyway :]

I still have ED and ED;H installed together.
ED patch is 142.8MB
ED:H patch is 73.5MB

Looks like ED got more love than ED: H!

It's a shame I'm at work and my 4G is failing me...
4G. 100kb/sec download.

Nice one EE!

From the patch notes I was hoping there were some improvements to instancing, but no... Was in a system with 3 other players, dropped and directly re-entered supercruise -> empty instance

any shipyards, new ships, comets, gfx improvements, orbital installations, shipyards & factories, galactic phenomena?
guess i'll go back to sleep

it's great that all the bugs get fixed AFTER the paid BETA process (?!?!?!!?)

Does this also fix the connection issues experienced by BT HomeHub 3 users (and others whose routers couldn't handle an MTU of 1500) who had been getting regular disconnection since the final 1.4 patch? I know we've had a work-around, but a fix would be awesome....

This fix in 2.0.04 is for cases where the player-to-player connection is affected by a reduced MTU: in some cases full-sized 1500-byte packets were being sent to players who could not receive them, causing failure to see each other's ships.

I think the problem you're referring to is where the traffic to/from the webserver fails because the HTTP traffic to the webserver exceeds the router's MTU. As far as I understand, it may still be necessary to override the network settings to tell it to use a smaller mtu. We're continuing to work on this, and we're experimenting with using the cURL library instead of WinHTTP, to see if this helps: this change may be included in v2.1
