here's video http://iview.abc.net.au/programs/good-game/LE1439H001S00

as an overview it was accurate albeit concise. Grind, invest time, limited missions, career options, 1:1 galaxy. 6.5/10 Sounds like they didn't have enough time to progress in-galaxy in order to really do the game or its review justice

Looking good. I just hope peer to peer is up to the challenge...

It has been very stable and usable for me lately. It's not perfect yet, but miles ahead I had during beta.

Biggest issues I have seen is NPC sharing between players, and not seeing everything which is in instance (while instance itself is running smoothly). I suspect it's more code issue than limitation of peer to peer.

Regardless, the fact that no one has been able to ask David about ANY of the current issues like: broken promises/lies (offline, dynamic, ever unfolding experience, rich multiplayer) the missing kickstarter rewards, missing boxed mercenary upgrade, missing ships, refusal to give refunds and much more IMO is just a sick joke.

Why hasn't anyone been able to ask these questions? Where is David now that the sales drive is all but over? What's the difference between David and Peter? The time? Both have used "it's not finished" or "it's coming" (well not David, he hasn't said anything really).

There's no accountability.

Ohh I see; so this is the only thing you know to talk about;...that explains your comments.

This trademark is really mysterious... Elite : Deadly will be a fantastic development of the game later, or just a joke currently ?

It could be either TM defence (unlikely but stranger things have happened), or name of expansion. FD have also TMed 'Thargoid'.

Anyway, even if it's not just legal action to protect IP, I doubt we will get any update till actual product closes in.

The review in the Swedish print of PC Gamer that came out this month gave it a 90% score.

And here is a roughly translated snippet from an interview with David in the magazine:

At the moment I'm mostly playing through rather predictable missions. Is there planes for content that is a bit harder to predict?

David: We definitively need a lot more things like that in the game. In the eariler development phases we couldn't plan that far ahead, but it's like building a house. Now when the foundation is there we can start to move in the furniture. When spy missions have been implemented the rest will come naturally. You will be drawn into more and more complex stories. If you take on a mission where you are suppose to take a photo of something, and are found out, that might lead to a mission you didn't ask for: an assassin might start going after you. That puts the ball in motion and your own story can grow from that.

It feels like the BBS almost requires player created missions too.

David: Absolutely! We will be adding more and more details to that. We have a couple of technical issues that needs solving first, but I want that players should be able to put a price on each others heads. I would be very interesting if the assassin in my example above had been another player...
