Rares & pod haulers are still waiting for their 'E' to be dealt with...It is a new week. I{ thought frontier would open the feature back up. They pretty much shut it down the day it was released without explaination.
I heard something about an 'E' but said 'E' should have been dealt with by now.
QFT. I'm seeing an all too familiar pattern here. New feature gets pushed, problems arise, new feature gets either fully or partially disabled. Fixes then come late if ever, because the next shiny must be pushed out. I sure hope this year won't end with the game having 4 new but partially disabled features and a shiny new 2026 roadmap. Until proven wrong, I certainly won't buy any more ARX after I've used up what I had left on the Mandalay cosmetics.Rares & pod haulers are still waiting for their 'E' to be dealt with...
True, It could be any reason it's shut out. But I didn;t expect this to be a thing this long where I can't claim a new system. I think I'm only claiming one more system to build a large station and a small one then I'm done. If I built a large station and a small one I would have been ok with that.I'm still not convinced it is about that than another issue Frontier have noticed and/or want to address before opening claims again. But the wording of "issue that affects claims" is vague enough that it could be just about anything [that wasn't fixed in last week's patch].
When the beta dropped nobody could move a carrier as there were no time slots available due, I assume, to all the new bases being built eating up available resources. Now I have not had, until now, seen a 'no time slots' message. Very long wait times yes but never no time slots. A few days after they halted the colonisation of new systems I was able to move my carrier. I think it's reasonable to conclude the issue is related to the beta and if you care trawl through this thread and others you'll find lots of FC owners coming to the same conclusion. It is not the fault of the beta, that there are no time slots for your carrier. The beta does not (as far as I know) contained any changes for carriers...
Nope. It is not the fault of the beta. You should blame the oher FC owners.I think it's reasonable to conclude the issue is related to the beta and if you care trawl through this thread and others you'll find lots of FC owners coming to the same conclusion.
no time slots available is common occurence during high traffic, nothing new. it was the same during every major release/event this past year or two. with new claims disabled people stopped playing, leaving open slots for carriers. When the beta dropped nobody could move a carrier as there were no time slots available due, I assume, to all the new bases being built eating up available resources. I think some have suggested that the exploit that allows players to colonize systems much quicker than intended is actually just the same exploit that has existed in the game for years. If that's so, I would imagine the devs have had a quite hard time pinning down what the actual bug in the code is. To the layman it might sound like bugs should be easy to find and fix especially if they are repeatable, but programming is such a complicated thing that sometimes the reason for even repeatable bugs can be incredibly hard to find.Is there still no ETA as to when this feature will be re-enabled?
Have developers anywhere stated anything?
Once Fdev re-enables the colonization contact, sureDoes anyone know if you can chain colonies out? I know you have to be near a occupied system so once I build a station can I locate a new system and continue out toward a desired path? If I wanted to build a series of bases out to 12,600 ly to the outer rim can I do that?
Not a clue.any idea when will the claim resume?
I didn’t make a claim yet by choice so I am preparing by scouting unclaimed systems in areas I think I might want to build and once they are nailed down I will probably stockpile some of the higher quantity and scarcer requirements so that when things do resume I am ready.i didn't have a chance to claim. hence, i can do nothing at the moment.
Yes, you can do it, but it'll be incredibly time consuming and a pain in theDoes anyone know if you can chain colonies out? We had the same lack of time slots when PP2 launched and before that with other launches too lesser extents* so it isn’t colonisation it is thousands of people trying to move FCs.When the beta dropped nobody could move a carrier as there were no time slots available due, I assume, to all the new bases being built eating up available resources. The 15 LY range limit will probably stop you at one of the inter-arm voids before you get to the actual rim. But you can probably get at least 7-8000 LY in theory if you stick to the dense brown dwarf plane at around Y=-40, maybe a little bit further.Does anyone know if you can chain colonies out? A chain of systems linking the bubble and Colonia would be nice. That would enable Apex taxi rides to Colonia, and once the chain is complete, expansion of the Colonia bubble. A simple outpost every 15ly should be enough, carriers deal with the logistics. The 15 LY range limit will probably stop you at one of the inter-arm voids before you get to the actual rim. They should go back to see what IP the guy was using and what accounts were signed in through the IP in the past 30 days and permaban/delete everything from those accounts. If he happens to have had siblings, well tough luck, they can beat each other up over this, what do I care?I'm very much unqualified to say any of this, but here's feedback to FDev on dealing with the likely root cause of why Colonization was suspended: Sue the ****** that cheated.
Since you earn real/Arx money from station naming, this is causing material losses to the company and its shareholders as new systems can't be colonized. This particular cheater has been doing this for years. You have a public admission of guilt - in an spectacular self-own - that should be admissible in court. Banning them won't do a thing as they likely have plenty of other (free) accounts available. Pick a staff lawyer and file this.
I want my feature back, and probably many of the current peak usage new and returning users do as well. Take this one guy out, along with the website that promotes hacking into your system, and make an example of it.
What a great pile of garbage. I do not have a static IP, therefore tomorrow a complete stranger could use the same IP to log into the game...hey should go back to see what IP the guy was using and what accounts were signed in through the IP in the past 30 days and permaban/delete everything from those accounts.
