Love the game

Thought i better say a big thank you the the FD team in releasing a game very playable from the start.
The game is just what was needed, Look forward to the updates, and patches keep up the good work .

I have just noticed these messages about being blown up by or in the station - had the same happen to me yesterday while I was under the control of the docking computer just about to enter the station when all was quiet, was very strange and only my 6th death. I have raised a ticket for it as it was so out of the blue.

"Fastest routes" in the route planner no longer works since 1.05.
There is no difference in the plotted routes when switching between fastest and economical routes, and when you re-enter the galaxy map, the selection has reverted to economical.
Great if you don't have a fuel scoop, but I do.
I was hoping that this selection would remain persistent across game sessions, like the other galaxy map options (show trade routes, factions, etc)
Raising a ticket.

Seems fine here, you just have to wait a bit until it's done drawing the lines again so it can do the new route. That hasn't changed since 1.04.

update 1.05 is incoming

thanks, great work.

I heard that we receive negative rep with factions for "Declining" a mission (rather than accepting it). I consider that to be a bug or mis-feature. Has it been fixed, or are you going to look at it soon?

Sure, give us negative rep for reneging on a mission we already accepted, but not for declining a mission that we are just reading, instead of pressing "back"!

Make sure it's raised in a ticket and we'll take a look.

I did wait, on several occasions, also - enter the navigation tab on the galaxy map, select "Fastest routes", wait, plot course, exit galaxy map, re-enter galaxy map, choose "navigation, and now it says "economical routes".
Previously, I had to exit the game completely for it to revert to economical - even exit to main menu remembered my choice when I went back in.

I was seeing a potentially related issue last night after upgrading to a type 6 and sometimes being denied docking at an outpost that already had an NPC docked. After watching and waiting for the NPC to launch, I noted that the landing pad doesn't immediately realign itself for a landing. If you request docking permission it will be granted, but you cannot land as the platform is incorrect and no holograms or landing guide appears. Cancelling docking then allows the pad to recess and spin to the correct orientation. A 2nd landing request then activates hologram/landing guide and you can land on the pad. I'm wondering if landing pads might be waiting too long after a ship departs before resetting. But anyway, asking twice for docking permission is a work-around if anyone else has the same issue happen to them.
I found that if you just wait after the NPC has left and request docking, it will be allowed and the pad will drop and rotate on it's own. There will be no landing guide shown but you can still dock on the pad. Cancelling the docking request and re-requesting also works for me too if you need the docking assist.

So, for those of us that paid full release price, how much of an unfair advantage are we talking here, and should I bother to plan on playing long term if I'm not a "founder"?

Pretty sure they got enough already. No wipe for release, free ships, easier starts in other star systems with readily available rare goods. Now ship discounts.

I'm starting to think the "founders" are the only players in ED, and the rest of us are meant to be "content".

Sol has the same 10% discount and if you happen to work on your fed rep instead of whining here you can get access to Sol and that 10% discount too....

I don't know if this makes you feel any better or not, but as an alpha founder DDF launch party mug & t-shirt backer, I consistently argued against any in-game advantages for people like me. In fact I suggested that Shinrarta Dezhra should be fully populated with every piece of equipment but should have higher prices than elsewhere. I don't want hard cash in-game advantages, for precisely the reason that you give, it spoils the enjoyment of those lesser mortals that don't have these advantages. And there are more of you, who are more important to the long term financial success of the game, than there are of us.

wait!
Is this confirmed?
were did you "hear" this?
does the 'Back' key avoid this?

I had a couple really slow exits from FSD last night - to the point I thought the game was frozen and was about to reset when it finally exited. Not sure if related to the update, but I haven't experienced that since beta.

Nice new bug for me

Ok.
Updated today and now i got a little problem in my hands.
As you can see. Missions are a bit hard to read.
That's just an example. Every mission is the same. :S

And also for some reason. These UIs take a huge ammount of my FPS. Fighting and all other stuff is 55-60fps

Pic is resized from 4K. If it even matters.

Since Patch 1.05 Elite Dangerous, the offline training missions and Multiplayer game loses focus each 5 seconds to the E:D launcher, specifically when using the mouse. Have to alt tab back into E:D to work. Mouse isn't registered in game and the mouse is focused to the launcher. For example I can launch the new ship decals or the Elite competition from within the regular game.
Using windowed mode works, but I do see it activating and deactivating (turning 'activated' and back).
