Thanks. Are salvage missions new or is it still 'stolen' items that are being referd to? Does this include any fixes to reputations that have been wrecked by single scans? Looking forward to playing tonight
 
Fix the Expansion Bug. Stuck at 9% for all sectors near my expanding Faction. Will not go up. Will Not go down. There are several threads on this subject.

unless those patch notes are updated, this one isnt being fixed. But looks like mroe data will goto server and to client, some of the pirate missions are being tweaked and statuses like economic boom should actually fire hopefully.
 
are you saying that they should postpone the release of "minor fixes" until they've resolved at least some "major problem" ?

Do them in conjuction with each other perhaps? Assets on major issues, whilst less on lesser issues? I don't know. I am just voicing my opinion
 
Nice.... but when will we have:

- Reputation fixes
- Landing pad lighting fixes
- incompletable missions shown in missions you can do (such as landing at outposts with a size 3 ship)
- missions showing in bulletin board for permits you already have
- changing summerlamd in summerland
- fixing the in game chat function (let alone the voice chat function)

and a ton more of these.... Please do not get me wrong at all, I do like where the game is aiming to go at, but when you see things like these in the patch notes:

- Fixed crash when launching limpets
- Fixed some system meta data mismatches between client and server
- Memory use improvements and fixes on server
- Fix assert when someone manage to select 'declare bankruptcy' button before UI receives proper data from the game
- Optimise mission template list selection
- When switching servers do not disconnect during the transfer
- Added telemetry for when a player dies to help identify cause of death when players explode near stations
- Added further telemetry to trace failed resource loading
- Fix large quantity missions using "light cargo" text
- Fix salavage coms lines
- Correct reputation on abandon branch of pirate missions
- Fix incorrect destination for massacre branch money collection
- Fix salvage mission branching
- Change order of mission contracts in massacre missions
- Change data that is displayed to players in massacre missions

These seem like very minor fixes. (I might be wrong of course, as I am no programmer) but what I would like too see is that some of the bugs which have already been persistent since beta 2, have not been fixed at all. Perhaps looked at, not fixed. I suggest that FD addresses the bug which have been known to man for ages, before doing other, seemingly 'trivial' stuff.... Just my 2 cents

I guess FD keeps on doing what they have done throughout development ever since Alpha 1.0 more than a year ago.

The x.0x patches are suppose to be minor fixes. Major fixes is what we get in the major updates every 2-3 months.

Some things we might consider problems with the current version of the game might get major overhauls in the next big update thus making fixes to these less useful since a lot of it might be completely replaced later. Fixing things that will get rewritten anyway is just wasted manhours in the long run.

Comms is such an example. I would assume that comms between players will be improved quite a bit in the Wings update since these will be rather key in making co-op functional.

I would post a link to my channel on twitch.tv but I cant for some reason. Search fluffymrstumpy. I have to recent highlights of death bugs. Both of these happen within 15mins of each other :(. lost over million and I have submitted a ticket. Love your game guys keep up the great work I can't wait for wings!
 
Pad loitering warning whilst outside the station......

Yeah, I'm starting to get a few of those today, kinda freaking me out as my cargo bay is full of Palladium... Just in case I usually cancel my docking request and redo it, don't want them shooting at me.
 
Release note looks like an Agile sprint cherry picked some very easy bugs to fix....

Why do I have that feeling too? Like the cops ticketing you when you drive 2 miles to fast, whilst not apprehending a murderer because he has a semi automatic rifle
 
What does the ship discount on founders planets mean?

Does this mean we can buy the best ship for 10 percent(?) discount or so and sell it in the next system again for 10 percent profit? Cause this would suck :(
 
Added server updates to the original post:

- Fixed some issues that stopped some Commanders logging into the Companion App
- Stopped wars and civil wars in starsystems with only 1 minor faction in that state
- Added ship discount to Founders World
- Various reliability and performance improvements

And does that include refunding those of us the discount, who ended up paying full price instead of the discounted price M.B., or do we just have to lump it.

What makes you think that they are not working on them? Sure we all would like to see major upgrades and fixes for old bugs. But since they are not released yet, I assume they are not ready.
 
What's wrong with in game chat? voice seems to work fine too?

Voice coms - Two persons = some times dropping coms connection
Voice coms - More than one person = dropping coms connection to all for individuals

Text Coms - Person undelivered unless the person is in the same private group / also in open (i.e. can see a friend come on line but cannot chat unless on the same server.)
