stealth build? not with emmisive, die A^*hole. The effect is straight another bias nail in the coffin for shileds down combat, same as god shields, missle splash damage, the lack of module strength and the fact that scrub weapons like the aforementioned emmisive, frags and packhounds are super effective vs hull even when compared to plasma and cannons.

Perhaps consider that shields are the defensive paradigm. Going without them is going to be weak and disadvantageous, just like strutting onto a medieval battlefield without any armour. It's not supposed to be 'balanced' against anything, no more than me driving without a seatbelt is 'balanced' against driving with. The disadvantageous method which counters the paradigm might have some advantage, but they do not balance the normal advantage of the paradigm.

FD have already stated that stealth builds were unanticipated and not something they liked the repercussions of. And by they probably mean entirely one-sided stealth-ganks. That's the real strength and possibly still is: The first 5 seconds of an disorientated foe.

Are you saying that that the initial disorientation isn't enough, and you'd prefer to be invisible all the way through the fight, keeping it as one-sided as you can for longer...? Sounds real fun for the other person.

No not at all, there are already measures that prevent that, As have already been stated, IE: When you fire you show up as a target and can be shot, with fixed, or gimabal. Moreover, by thier entire wing. Emmisive takes two hits, then your entire build is made redundant, moreover, its not like a torp with a short, one pump chump idea, it can be reapplied constantly, with two hits, thats all it takes. Its broken. And quite frankly, its not fun when your opponent stacks a billion SCBS and has god shields, all whilst they spam the out of you with emmisive and packhounds, Yeah, great fun balanced gameplay mechanic that is. People forget that it is a GAME. balance is needed to keep it playable unless youre a Meta-teet sucking scrub.
