Not every CG has to appeal to all players. There's plenty of noncombat things to do to help the Thargoid war effort. Or if you're not interested in that the rest if the game is still there. There have been plenty of noncombat CGs and there will be again. As I see it, there is little to motivate me. I am not interested in fighting thargoids, so I do not want the weapons. If I wanted credits, I would possibly take the passenger/injured missions. So what does the CG offer me? Nothing to motivate me. I have delivered several thousand tons for each CG apart from one. I might do a couple of runs if I get bored with the other stuff. Where are the rewards to suit non fighters?
Steve.
Wait, what? If the Thargoids destroy your home station you lose all the ships and modules stored there? I thought they are automatically transferred to a close by safe station.Greetings,
A player who who doesn't want to get into the Thargoid war OK. Neither do I really not my thing then I am prepared. But if a player has a massive cargo ship to deliver commodies in a Community Goal to access more advanced weapons then experienced players using these weapons will slow the tide of the war with Thargoids coming to your home planet and losing a lot of your ships and modules you didn't transfer from a station to a Fleet Carrier then jump out.
Thanks to the Frontier Devs we are all into this at the moment whether we like it or not. Maybe we won't lose ships and modules stored in a station that is attacked but I'm not going to wait arond to see the results.
Regards
Nah, that's nonsense for now.Wait, what? If the Thargoids destroy your home station you lose all the ships and modules stored there? I thought they are automatically transferred to a close by safe station.
The rewards from these CGs, as has been the case with others in the past, is knowing you have helped the community. As I see it, there is little to motivate me. I agree 100%.The rewards from these CGs, as has been the case with others in the past, is knowing you have helped the community.
It is one of the better parts of the game for me that not everything I do is necessarily to my immediate personal benefit.
What, like teleported? It usually is done by the logistics co. that transports your ship if requested, but I guess everyone would be busy evacuating/rescuing people rather than emptying the 'garage' of useless (at the moment) stuff.Wait, what? If the Thargoids destroy your home station you lose all the ships and modules stored there? I thought they are automatically transferred to a close by safe station.
I am all for helping and have delivered an average of about 6000 tons to 4 of the CGs, but like with other stuff I do (including non Elite), I need motivating so that tedium does not set in. Once you have delivered 000 of tons, I find the activity gets onerous rather than interesting. I even took to running small loads in a fast ship in open for the fun of it. I do not find flying big ships a lot of fun most of the time. The rewards from these CGs, as has been the case with others in the past, is knowing you have helped the community.

Oops, maybe you are right per I have no real proof. I corrected my postWait, what? If the Thargoids destroy your home station you lose all the ships and modules stored there? I thought they are automatically transferred to a close by safe station.
In the Codex: Pilots Handbook > Xeno Hunting > Providing Assistance > Rescue Megaship (second paragraph)Oops, maybe you are right per I have no real proof. I corrected my post
I can confirm that, happened to me this week. Interestingly, only your active ship gets transfered to the nearest rescue ship. From there, you have to manually initiate (and pay) transfer of any other ships / modules that were present in the destroyed station. In the Codex: Pilots Handbook > Xeno Hunting > Providing Assistance > Rescue Megaship (second paragraph)
"If a port containing a Commander's stored craft is destroyed by Thargoids, the craft will be automatically transferred to the nearest rescue ship."
I don't know if anyone's tested this yet.
Yep, I want the AX multi-cannon gimballed, so I will swap to doing CG for a while.Merry Christmas on this fine Christmas day morning in Indiana, USA.

Yup was about to post the same thing. Quit to menu when the missile CG was @~99%. Returned now to the game, both CGs missing in the menu, also the missile one missing in my transaction tab (I was doing that one only). My both CGs dissappeared from transactions tab! Anybody else experienced that? One is finished but other is still ongoing, but however, it never happened before.
All is fine with me at the moment...If you didn't hit abandon in transitions which is unlikely then maybe check missions, community goals and see if you are still signed up. Also logout to the main menu than back to see if there is a difference. Just guessing...My both CGs dissappeared from transactions tab! Anybody else experienced that? One is finished but other is still ongoing, but however, it never happened before.
