I've got a Question that I sent to two Community Managers but never received a response to.

I and later our Player Group adopted and supported a Minor Faction (done that since a long time now, half a year basically, long before I was even aware of the issues that later arose from Group Injection cycles).
But since the "grace period" of formal Minor Faction adoption was long over before our Group was started and I - now we - already controlled multiple Systems, how are such cases handled now?

Reading the main Post, it would ask me to register a new Player Faction - which after half a year is naturally entirely out of the Question.

So are we destined to continue to live without "official placement" ?

Could you mail me your faction information and other details please? I'd like to check into this little scenario that's come up. bcooper @ frontier .co .uk

that would be frustrating... anything done manually like this is a slow process im guessing they have plans for a better automated system but has to be far down the priority list and has to have something in place to keep people from using stilly and rude names.... im just happy they have given us the option to have something player created in the background sim i do wish however that player factions did not start out as the main faction in the system but instead started with 0 infuence to give us something to strive for and add more ownership fighting the civil war or whatnot to gain control of the system/stations..
We do have some longer-term plans to fully automate the process. Until then, we have to do it all by hand, which does mean things will be a bit delayed, and done in batches. Unfortunately, that might mean one or two submissions might slip past me when i go through the list of items on a weekly basis. Generally I do add/update minor factions and groups as said emails come in, I generally add these every other day. Sometimes, I manage to forget to send back an email stating i've added you - in which, a status reminder email is always appreciated. :)

What number of players counts as a "group" for the purposes of player factions.

Me & my regular wingman?
Me, my wingman and the other couple of guys we wing up with on a semi regular basis?
Me, the wing and how many more others?

Is there a (semi) official guideline before player factions are considered reasonable to allocate.
Personally, I like five or more to a minor faction and/or group. However, we have not set (as far as i am aware) an official minimum count to who can and can't be of a group/minor faction. [up]

Hey Brett i sent in a email recently. To a recent question asked do we need to have specified how many players in said group to be accepted or is that not needed. Just double checking to make sure what i sent in was right.

Hello Brett

I'm happy to see that you answer many questions from member on the board. I send you an E-Mail too with all data you need and hope you can manage it :)

Oki, Email is sent. (falconfly [at] ewetel.net), hope it doesn't end up in a spam filter :)

I was told to keep an eye out for you from Commander Tugg from Military Militia. Our faction Ryder's Rangers has submitted out information several times. Our group has players on Xbox and pc who want to attempt to become a faction and one day eventually try and strive for power play roster. We've come together and developed a whole faction with a character, background lore, power play ethos and rewards, as well as an idea for our factions weapon. Some of our more extreme members once cut a swathe to Sol to attempt and undermine it from Zachary Hudson in the name of the Empire back in October before we first submitted our request in November. The fact that our members have been building up a fleet and reputation in game and even have been called upon to resolve blockade issues at stations. We want to make our presence known, and the others are getting a bit impatient for our system. I appreciate your consideration towards our faction, and hope to get a reply in a timely manner.

It's been almost a week and I haven't received anything (?)

I've been waiting almost 2 months... And can't get an real answer from anyone with actual authority on the situation. Would really like to know if I need to resubmit due to the request being lost in the mail or what. I really don't want to miss this next load in set, and have to wait ANOTHER 3-6 months.

Does anyone know when the next injection is due? I think it's very much going to be a patience thing as the guys must be absolutely swamped until they automate the process (which in itself is a bunch of work). I'd imagine the above, along with the code to change the starting influence to an average value for the player faction/system in question (and probably some crunch time going into 2.1), is what's contributing to the wait time.

Today's 2.0.7 patch didn't have an injection. At least not for me. A little disappointed and confused. Influence manipulation is probably the gameplay with the longest process ED can offer to a player, but it takes more than two months to even get started?
