Exploration - When worlds colide

Hmm, I am heading Colonia-bound from Beagle Point and am now approximately 17000 lys from Colonia. If the next orbital brush is the 24th February, I should be able to make that. That will be too good to miss giving the timing!

I wonder if the orbits will change with the next update. Probably not.

It's possible. They changed He Bo 2A/2B to no longer intersect within the rings of He Bo 2. I can understand the reasoning behind that. Trying to approach the planets from within the rings would cause the client to crash.

I'm on expedition as well, though on the oppisite side of the galaxy. I'm more or less wandering aimlessly after fullfilling one of my primary objectives of finding my first active volcanisim in an undiscovered system 5 minutes into the first try (luck!) , so perhaps this would give me a good new objective!

Thanks for the reminder, I would have forgotten about this - I thought it was going to be sometime in April. I'm currently 33kLy in the direction of Beagle Point heading back towards Colonia (sort of), so I might be able to get there...

From my present location, it is 15k ly to across Sag A to get to the system and the route planner just plotted a route that will average just under 120ly per jump, so I should be able to get there in time with no issue. Hopefully my work schedule will line up with the time of the event!

Does anyone have a rough idea on the time frame for the event on the 24th?

Plenty of vids and pics from the last collision in this thread.
If you can't make it, it will come around again in another 133 days. (unless FD fixes it)
