First exploration

I've discovered Prasinium Metallic Crystals.
There a 3 signals in this system, will they all be the same ?
I have never found a different type of crystal in the same location, they might be different colors though, but the same type.

EDIT: now I re-read your message, yes, they could be different, at different locations, do visit them all.

Hello Cmdrs

Rooster flight report
I'm 37,085.19ly from my starting point.
I'm 11,266.12y from Sag A*
Just over 2000ly jump tonight but what an incredible journey.

I found another ELW, this time with a landable moon.
It had to be done, I tried to recreate Earth Rising

After that I found 3 Notable Stellar Phenomenon, Viride Lagrange Clouds, in one system with a different organic structure in each one. Prasinium, Purpureum and Flavum.
This was my favourite because it looks like Stripe from Gremlins (if you squint 🤔)

Thanks again for your help

You can use the FSS & DSS anywhere, including the bubble. It’s good advice that above, finding a nearer place.

Have a potter about in the bubble, get used to the tools.

I take an SRV with me when I go, so I can land on planets. I pack an extra fuel tank. I don’t bother with an AMFU (self repair module) some do though. I’ve never needed one. Except that one time I did but then I was almost new at the game and my own mistakes damaged my ship.

I’m sure people have explored in a Cobra but I wouldn’t choose it, no real reason other than I prefer my Dolphin.

I A-rate my FSD and just about D-Rate everything else. I never carry cargo bays.
A rated fuel scoop perhaps! 🥳😉 the largest you can fit!
If you are going to use neutron star FSD super charging, and I would STRONGLY suggest that you do for the x4 jump range increase, you'll need that AMFU to repair the FSD! I'd suggest looking up a few YT videos on neutron star FSD supercharging as it takes a little practice to get right but is actually quite easy ...

Also you'll be using Spansh to plot a course between neutron stars!

It's a very different galaxy out there from a few years ago now!

Amazing work, good reporting! How is your hull strength going?
Thank you Cmdr of Promotions.
Hull strength is good at the moment. Full report from tomorrow.

Got a Guardian FSD, I'm now an expert at supercharging but struggling to find neutron stars the further I go towards Beagle Point

Excellent! I didn't want to throw that into the mix as that's a whole other realm of messing about, but it is SO worth the effort! If you are familiar with FSD supercharging, you already know how to get around the galaxy! 🙂🚀

The last leg out to BP (especially if crossing the abyss) is hard going for sure.

Try looking vertically in the GalMap. There is an entire layer of Neutrons, but, if I am remembering correctly, they are outside the Thick Band.

You'll most reliably find the neutron stars at least +/- 1000 lightyears from the galactic plane (up or down), but you'll also want to stay outside of the "suppression cross", which is has a bar that is about 2000 ly wide going straight up the middle. Since it goes straight through to where Beagle Point is, you'll have to stay to one side or the other while using neutron stars:

Getting the Space heeby jeebies....a typical reaction to explorers.... You are doing great... do not let the distances start to daunt you... look ahead, not behind... you will be doing that once more when you reach your final destination point. Keep that point focused on your travels.... it is going down and will continue going down until you realize that you are there and are ready to come home. The hard part is getting home without getting in a hurry and getting careless in your jumps.. You are already Elite in exploration on paper so come home and make it official.

Remember, you are out there for enjoyment. It is ok, nay, preferable, that you stop and see the sites.

You probably have a lot more capability than anyone in DWE 3302, and match a lot of the DWE 2 crowd. Go play outside the route for a bit.

Look at some of the old Expedition waypoints. Most of them were chosen for spectacle of one sort or another.

Do something silly, like a hunt for the odd. Check the GalMap for interesting things.

If it is feeling like a slog, then change the rules, even if it is only for a moment or three.

How do I know where The Galactic plain is ? That sounds like a really stupid question

I'm still loving it out here. I check the system map, use the surface scanner on all systems and if there's something interest I'll map the system.
I have to be honest, I do get fed of seeing so many icy bodies lol

Where do I find a list of these waypoints ?

Original DWE:

The waypoints are a fair bit down the page....

Another jump of just over 2000ly tonight
Found this Ammonia Magma Geyser
Pretty cool

I'm pretty sure there's a satanic face on the right leg of this Geyser 😊
