First exploration

Good evening Cmdrs
I have run into a little problem, I've gone too high above the plain and am now stuck travelling between the same 3 stars because my FSD distance isnt big enough to get me anywhere.

Any advice on options I have please

I have explored a nebular before, about 2 years ago but my pc was stolen and have now transferred on Xbox.
I honestly can't remember how I did it
Maybe you used this site to plot the route. As you might not be able to plot a route directly from in the game to Sag A*. I used this site a few weeks back to plot a route to Colonia because I couldn't seem to plot a route to their from the game itself

Link: https://www.edsm.net/en_GB/map/planner/index/

if you also unsure where to buy certain best equipment from for your ship, again this site is handly to find which stations sell what.

Have you tried going into the Gallaxy map and change the jump range to economical route instead of fastest route so you can jump to another close system

So there's no other possible stars in the system you can fuel scoop off? As sometimes a system can have another star that cam be fuel scooped off

When I said change to econimcal route in the gallaxy map. It was because if you have it set as fastest route (long jumps). Then it might show you can't jump to another system due to lack of fuel needed for a long jump. But when you change it to Economical Route - it may show a system then that you can jump to if you replot a route because you have enough fuel to make a smaller jump

It isn't a fuel problem.
My jump range is not big enough to reach the nearest system

Then what about using the option to boost your jump range in the gallaxy map by creating an FSD Injection using raw materials under the panel on the right using the Inventory side menu to create a FSD injection and then use the nav map to use it also

My max jump range with FSD injection is 70ly, the nearest star is 82ly

Surely you can jump back to the system you jump from to get to the system your in now (jump back to the previous system). Then I would use that site I linked you to that lets you enter your max jump range and plots a route using it to where you want to go too.

Enter start point - then end point - and max jump range and hit plot a route

I used a neutron star to jump into the system to refuel

Ah right...now I can see why your're stuck then. So you don't have the option now of using a Neutron Star again because it dropped you off in a system without one and the nearest next jump is 80ly away. o_O

Just about sums it up 😂

Damn... that sucks!

Don't see what you can do then apart from kill yourself. :(

But even then.. won't you just re spawn back in the same system now if you did that anyway? If you left the game and went back again, then won't save the game in that system unless you've not saved the game while in that system

I've thought about that option but I don't know where I would respawn.
I'm 3 quarters toward Beagle Point and I don't want to go back to the bubble..........or I would actually kill myself 😂

If you have exited the game while in that system - and then gone back into the game again. I think it will have saved you being in that system anyway "even if you killed yourself now". But if you have NOT exited the game since being in that system - then think it will respwn you back at the last system point you exited the game at. When I went to colonia (long route) and took me 3 days - I would always respawn back at the last system I exited the game at sitting in space. Not the last place you docked at

You might be stuffed now then. I'm pretty sure if you exit and then go back into the game again now you will always re-spawn back in that system. Had you killed yourself before exiting the game in that system - you would have re-spawned back at the previous system you exited the game at. Your only option now (not sure), might be for a fleet carrier to jump in that you can dock at and take you out the system

Because you have no way out that system now due to lack of jump range
