Fix the System map!

I don't think there is enough saying about this. Most inmersion breaking -and- gameplay inconvenience since I started playing.
And is not Only a map problem. It is a problem on FSS scan (a big one sometimes), nav panel for new players until they know they can filter that #$@ useless garbg.

There has been practically never a reason for me to Show Filter the Fleet carriers on the nav panel... If one time I need to see where a FC is, I'll let them know. Or even better, I'll use a third party app to find it.

Tho, I reckon some times, Exploring and jumping in a random system and see one or two fleet carriers is always the sign of "Ok, I found the place..." But of course breaks the awe... "Oh, I'll follow that Ram Tah mission, sounds awesome" -> Finds fleet carriers orbiting every guardian ruin "ok, lots of people grinding them daily...I feel special"

Worst part is that probably there is a reason they'll left the system like that; for new players: Show that the game is alive with lots of players and they can become a miner-grinder to buy his own FC too.
Just a nonsense reason. Why not leave them switched on in the system map by default and have a button to toggle them off like they do with the nav panel. That would also work with the FSS.

The problem is their 2D map design is terrible, it should have been a "Variation" logical map.
This 2D representation reminds me of something from the 1940s you used to see in Documentaries.

It is year 3,000.
Frontier Devs really are some of the least creative people when it comes to UI like wow.

Look at homeworld the RTS game that made a ridiculously fantastic System map.

The sad thing is that there are creative people at Frontier, or at least there were. Look at the concept art for ED back from the kickstarter days - be it the system map or the trade computer, this art looks amazing!

Apparently their UI designers / coders couldn't live up to this creative vision, however, and that's why we've got gradeschool-level UIs for things like today's system map.

I will admit that actually looks great, but Homeworld is Simpler and Stream lined.
A great Interview by the Creative Director of Homeworld

It is a 3D map, very simplistic but tells you in 3D space using Iconography the location of everything.
A great way to do system map representation While the image doesn't do it justice, you could fully rotate the map in 3D space to see where everything was.
