Fleet Carrier Prices

Any guesses on what we could be expecting for these monsters? I’m not sure if their will be an ability to upgrade them after the fact of purchasing, but that would change the price point drastically imo.

A Conda alone is 143 Million, which nowadays is not much. An A rated conda you could be looking at triple/quadruple that price.

If we CANNOT upgrade them, my guess is 2.5 Billion.

If we can, my guess is 1.5 Billion.

Some of you may find those prices low, but I think that Frontier intends for this to be a little more accessible than we were initially lead to believe. That in conjunction with the fact that deep core mining is godly lucrative and it’s intended to be the way it is currently. Not an exploit.

Thoughts?

Ill not repeat what has allready been posted in that thread which is duplicates of the other posting that was also posted before again but also in that topic allready made...
But that topic did get higher numbers than the topic before it..

1 - 2 billion sounds right. Most people on the forum are not representative of the people in game, in regards to wealth. Much more than that and a lot of people won't even bother.

From a lore perspective, I can't really see how they'd be less than a couple of billion.
I mean, it's got all the same tech' as a big ship, requires several times more construction materials and has a bunch of extra facilities built into it.

Then, of course, if you look at the cost of real-world ships as a comparison, you find that a cost vs size curve tends to be exponential rather than linear.
If a 20ft boat costs $20k, a 40ft boat is likely to cost $100k rather than $40k.
If FDev follow that kind of model, a lot of people are going to be salty. :p

Yeah, we already had plenty of speculation on this one, and no solid base of any kind.
Fact is, from the logical ingame pov, by comparing prices of different assets and looking on the sice of these things (an a-rated cutter is a billion. )... about 200-500 billion, maybe even more.

Of course noone has that much money. And I doubt fd will make carriers so expensive that only 5 people in total can get one. So 10 billion would probably be too high.

1 billion is about 10 hours of opal mining. Would you mine 100 hours for a carrier? I wouldn't.

Of course it all depend heavily on what carriers can actually do for us.

So 1-10 billion is my guess

Edit: But with my experience with fd, id say it will be much more complicated than that. You'll probably need 132 guardian blueprints , 256 medusa hearts and 2000 units of polonium on top of that

You can make 1 billion credits in 6 hours now.

You can make 200m an hour lazily opal farming.
You can make 300m an hour if you try
You can make even more painite mining in wing
You can make 400m an hour pirating npc miners

2 billion is a joke.

Im guessing the 10billion stock 20-30b fully outfit.

I really, really hope that we only hear what the price of Fleet Carriers will be on the actual launch day of the update in December, not before then.

I have it on good authority that the price of a fleet carrier goes up by 1 billion credits for every thread about fleet carrier prices.
