Notice Fleet Carrier Update - Known Issues


Issue with screenshots.

1) Transferring Ships to Carriers, after the 9th, doesn't show up in stored.
2) Fleet Carrier now sells all 4 imperial ships, despite having no shipyard installed (all screenshots provided as proof)

Ships are still listed as stored in system and can be moved back to the station, but moving back to carrier still caps at 9 stored ships displayed.

I noticed this in the Beta — check which PowerPlay faction controls the system — Hudson, Mahon (and I presume) other automatic ship availability appears to apply, and commanders who own the carrier can always access shipyard/outfitting.
 
If frontier did screw ups they'd probably be the best screw ups....in the world. They do work hard but come on, they try and give us something positive but end up making everything so negative. Can't wait for space legs when your upper body goes one way and your legs go in the opposite direction

So far:

Login Failure - “the game failed to communicate with the authentication server” and associated “Unhandled Exception: Object reference not set to an instance or an object.” This was fixed using this link https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threads/launcher-wont-launch.525828/

Traffic controllers aren’t talking at any station or surface ports.

One connection error code Black Adder.

One connection error code Blue Cobra.

One connection error code Mauve Adder.

Still managed three boom deliverys (including an Imperial Navy rank up mission), two courier missions, and eleven donate to the cause.
 
Oh well .. what do they say? never play on patch day

Logged in earlier... updated the game.... started and did the planet generation wheel thing.. then kicked.
Went and had bath
Came back just now and managed on the 5th attempt to log in... and now the launcher says "upgrade"

Visited Systems Cache was reset. All the galaxy shows as unvisited except for the systems visited after the update. And that SUCKS! And replacing the cache with a copy of the older one doesn't help, the game just keeps showing systems visited before update as unvisited. Did the .dat format change?
You got unlucky ..all is ok here.
 
The Sirius Atmospherics tourist beacon in Sothis is missing now. Before any fleet carriers jumped into the system it was there, but now isn't.

Ahh, good thinking. This doesn't help with why 5 of my ships are not showing up in Stored Ships, but this makes total sense for the selling. Thanks for the heads up!
 
I've noticed that when I've had my Fleet Carrier targeted, when I jump to supercruise, my target switches to a different carrier. It's happened three times so far, easily reproducible. Haven't yet confirmed if it was just the one session or if it will happen if I try the same again next time I'm on.

Ah! Just done, and failed, a few missions to Sothis due to the missing beacon and now I know why.

I guess its time again to wait a few weeks for things to be patched a little.
