And here too, i totally agree, mateWhat makes me more angry other then they stay quiet, is that they post on twitter, having picture contest of "nice planets" and "your fc pictures"
Seems more important then adressing the players that they working on it, looking at it. And that a "patch" will come asap.. But nooo... Lets take the money kinda, go on vacation, come back to odessy thats gonna brake the game 100 times more, if they manage this with simple FC, then i dont wanna know what happens when odessy comes!
I have moved about 33,000LY in the good ship Farport. I only had that happen once. I think it was because I inadvertently hit the Auto Launch button just before FC went to lock down. My Anaconda didn't actualy launch because the lockdown closed down the system but, then the FC jumped without me. I didn't wast tritium though, I simply flew 495 LY to catch up with it. Not saying that's happened in your case though.I think I've read this elsewhere but yesterday I did a 498ly jump in my fleet carrier with my Corvette safely stowed aboard. Looking at the galaxy map showed the FC and my Corvette about 498ly's apart. Odd as I was still in the FC hangar. So I left the FC, jumped into supercruise and found there was no FC to return to. It was indeed 498 ly's away.
So the FC jumped, I was on board but didn't jump. I believe I plotted the course via my Corvette then went into FC management to repeat. Then something obviously went wrong.
I had to call it back so a b****y waste of 600 tons of Trit I could have done without!

It all depends on the distribution of those and whether a particular part of the game was tested for a particular magnitude of changes. For example, how often did you see a star system with 20+ stations? How often do you see now a star system with 20+ FCs ? And what is the difference in the loading time (when your ship is in the hyperspace)? So it does cost some server time but, doesn't seem outrageous.
So, in this game, how does one contact a FC say 7000 LY away to ask if the FC is going to stay put for a couple days or is moving.
I'm thinking of the Thursday one... on a Tuesday... Duh!Servers don't go down for the tick - correlation, not causation ... well, unless someone really messed up
Thanks! If you can see the system map for the system it is in you can see the Cmdr name of the owner. Send them a friend request from the social menu if they are on the same platform as you, or maybe try googling their Cmdr name if they aren't.
ok,explain to me then how in the last 3 patches they have written that they have fixed certain bugs and it is a lie ... an example is the stones that cross asteroids, 3 times they have written that it is fixed .... are you sure they work as much as you say? They have had 10 months in which they were going to dedicate themselves to small arrangements ....that was the excuse for the delay ... tell me, how much has the game improved in 10 months? I have found more failures, and after FC I don't even tell you ...Can't believe how many people are ripping into FDev and accusing them of sitting their doing nothing, if you honestly think they're doing nothing behind the scenes to fix the games problems then you're a fool and don't deserve FC's the game or the devs. I get it's frustrating but I guarantee they're doing what they can and I bet most if not all are still working from home which adds its own problems. I know it's difficult but patience is free. If I had one complaint it would be the lack of communication from the team. I'm not a 'White Knight' because I have and do criticise if I think it's warranted. Keep working hard Devs and thanks for the effort.
Elite is their cash cow, of course they're doing what they can to get the game running properly, they want more people playing not less. As for them saying they fixed stuff they haven't I can't answer for them but maybe they were convinced the problem was solved, getting the game to work the same for everyone when it's on PC, XBox and PS4 will be extremely complicated. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but attacking the team doesn't helpok, explain to me then how in the last 3 patches they have written that they have fixed certain bugs and it is a lie ... an example is the stones that cross asteroids, 3 times they have written that it is fixed .... are you sure they work as much as you say? God, there must be as a single person working on the patches, and with 4 days off at least!!!
Thanks!
It's easy to find the system they are in because eddb stations look-up gives the nearest stations and thier ED system name - including FC's now. Coms skills is not my strong suit so, I will have to give your suggestion a try.
Thanks again--
Edit: Wait, how do I see their Cmdr name by looking at the ED star map? They are almost always going to be in a system I have not "discovered".
That's why the first work in my reply was 'If'
Yeah, so this seems like a flaw in the FC concept. Freighters can always hail other freighters or large ships in real life. Without this ability, galaxy flyers are not going to be able visit / make use of a FC without taking a risk it will be gone when they arrive - so I would guess most will not take that chance. Am I missing something here? That's why the first work in my reply was 'If'

Yeah it looks like you can get the fleet carrier station name in eddb and then use the station name in INRA to look up the cmdrs name. I have gotten close using INRA but have not quite figured it out yet...Eventually I would guess eddb wil show the stations cmdr name in the station search output. Right now they show everything about the station except that.I think you now have a full understanding of how it works. The carrier operator that wants players to use their services will no doubt find solutions to advertise their wares in time, probably in a similar way to what player groups do. Most I've seen are restricted to squadron & friends only so far.
