Patch Notes Fleet Carriers Update - Patch 4 Patch Notes

I thought you'd unsubscribed to this thread :D
Lesson for next round patch:

- some of my content is absolutely serious (when I try to help people with "how-to" details) or general content that refers to game.

- rest is just "keeping the role" that is actually written by feedback to my primary intention.
Not serious, in other words. Just toying.

(...). Just to remind the devs: the missing percentages.
If it's 0, why bother with displaying?

LTD fragment with 0% LTD.

Logical.

EDIT:
It was meant to be absurd, but WHAT IF instead of dividing they were nerfing by subtraction, wherever a reference to LTD% content was found in code?
I guess you are lucky there were no negative% content fragments, that suck LTDs from your cargo ;)

No, because it's a false message. You'll never get any percentages under these exact conditions. After prospecting this rock, it turned out to be content of 27%. You are probably not aware of this issue if you always use prospector limpets - before you scratch the rocks with your lasers. Believe me, I'm not the only one who's realized this. Don't confuse the 0 in this image with the percentage normally displayed for fragments (in fact, there's no percentage displayed at all). This 0 refers to the current cargo content, not the fragment.

Sorry if I misunderstood, I don't always get your humour (in case you were kidding). Language barriers and that... 🥴

Here's another (minor) bug with core mining. I don't know how to reproduce it or what the exact conditions are when this occurs, but as of now it already happened a few times to me. Right now in a LTD hotspot with an LTD core. After the rock explodes, all fragments are mysteriously placed about 5km away from the shattered rock. A pretty unusual and certainly unwanted behaviour.

Yes, this happened to me once as well, but only once.

I'm pretty much in the same boat. I would absolutely hate to fill the whole cargo store with Tritium with mining alone. I'm even too lazy to move with a full tank. That's why I created my low fuel conduct (max 2 full jumps, ~ 145t for my current services per jump or roughly 300t). It usually works like this: One 'blind' jump of ~500Ly, then I grab my DBX and explore/scout forward in a range of the next 500Ly. Once I found a new Tritium source, I order my carrier, wait the 15 minutes, dock and switch to a miner. Rinse and repeat.

And now please, before we all end up in an endless loop of arguing again: Yes, this is definitely slow and in no way competitive to classic exploration. Which it never was meant to be.

If I would want to start from a far point in the galaxy, I would seriously consider to purchase the Tritium before and burn it in several jumps in a row. But that's another topic and not my cup of tea. Possible Tritium shortage in stations is also not on my radar and another topic as well.

But the constant change from mining to exploration and back again in relative short frequencies is definitely my thing. 😁
That's exactly how I plan to do it when I get back out there -- have a couple of thousand tons in the hold for emergencies but, otherwise, jump, explore, mine, repeat.

Somewhat to my amazement, I've just managed to instruct my Fleet Carrier to jump to park round HIP 4351 10, despite there being no shortage of carriers both round the body and round the star.

Given the changes to allowed carriers per body that are supposed to be part of Patch 4 V2, it'll be interesting to see if it's parked there tomorrow when I log in after the update.

Ooops yeah, at least I will know what has happened, when tomorrow suddenly a foreign carrier drops next to mine in the middle of the Formidine Rift. I'll let you know... 🤪
