I think we will be waiting till gamescom for the Exploration Focus Feedback which will be disapointing if true.

Yep exactly my feeling...or we simply won't have it.

The feedback forum wil be pointless if they do it that late (september)...once it's opened, feedbacks will roll for atleast 2 weeks. Give them 2 more weeks to analyse feedbacks so it brings us to early october.

If Chapter 4 go out in december it gives them max 2 months to work on implanting feedbacks ideas to what they did...not sure it's enough...

*Edit* And they were also supposed to make a focused feedbacks about fleet carriers...

Yeah, they have said that Gamescom will feature what's coming in the Q4 update. The wait's disappointing, but still better to have a date than to have none.
Frontier, you could have just said that the FF on exploration will come after the event.

We should start a thread taking bets on which day the Exploration FF will actually hit. Not just a tentative target date, but actually showing up in the FF sub. I will say August 24.

This is starting to look a bit more on target than I had feared.

Hope you're all well... genuinely excites me to still see so much enthusiasm for Elite, because believe me, it's an enthusiasm we share in the office (I'd argue our enthusiasm exceeds yours even... but this isn't a competition so I'll stop trying to win it).

Just wanted to set the correct expectations about what we're doing at Gamescom. As with previous Gamescom Frontier Meet events, we've focused on what's coming in the short term with our game releases, we've had giveaways, food and drink, and created a space where you can interact with the developers and meet each other (in some cases for the first time in real life!).

This year will fit the same mould, with us detailing what's still to come as part of Beyond.

As David was quoted in this post, we are still working on Elite Dangerous, and we'll let you know when we're ready to share our plans post-Beyond.

Although, now that I re-read it, it just said what's coming as part of Beyond, not necessarily the Q4 update. Could be they'll only show the upcoming Q3 update - although that would be weird, what with them already having shown Q4 stuff at LaveCon.

Not really, just a vague allusion that they'll be talking a bit about Q4 at Gamescon. We really have no idea.

Seeing how Frontier has neglected exploration for four years, this silence on the Exploration Reveal vacancy is sadly typical.

Their lack of interaction in these forums suggests that they don't really care. They have our money and to hell with appeasing the community here, which are more likely than not the only people still playing the game (although I'm not, I just hang around here waiting for news and play No Man's Sky in the meantime).

That's fine, but there are threads with questions regarding the currently discussed features and there haven't been any replies to those for a while either, despite new questions being asked from time to time.

I'm hoping the delay is so that they are expanding on the core concept and that they haven't come up against an issue with the dev tools.

Squadrons : 27th of may
Mining : 17th of june
Exploration / Codex : 8th of july

Fleet Carriers FF was mentionned but no date.

THIS^^^. It's more about the fact that they delayed it with no explanation and no further info since. To your point Andovar, of course I don't expect a daily copy-pasta message but there has been ZERO update despite everything seemingly having gone off the rails.
